My 2021 GLE 450 has suddenly developed a weird problem. Upon startup, the "Mercedes Benz" splash screen on the MBUX main screen displays for longer than normal, and then the radio comes on to some station at a medium volume while the splash screen continues to be displayed. Moving the volume rollers does nothing. Twenty seconds later, the screen goes blank and the radio goes silent. Five seconds later the whole process repeats, endlessly. Basically, MBUX seems to be stuck in a reboot sequence. Restarting the car doesn't make it go away.

Same. We've owned the vehicle for less than a week. Called the dealer, booked an appointment, and was given a number to call to see if they could remotely reboot it, which didn't work.

I have the same problem except for my entire unit all the features of the dash navigation and safety completely went out after having it less than a month I gave it to dealer February 6th. I did not get it back until April 7 because the part had to come from Germany and they have to replace the entire unit. so take it back because eventually other features of your system will go out where you will be not be able to see any other features, there’s a defective that unit.

Our 2022 GLE 450 had its MBUX system reprogrammed by the dealer. It is a common issue lately. Since our vehicle is in for other service related issue, I have not had the opportunity to determine if the reboot worked.

Purchased my GLE350e exactly one month ago and experienced same problem today. Had MBUX restart once in afternoon and since it has been fine, but tonight it started rebooting again and its now stuck in reboot cycle. Reversing camera does not work (it usually works no matter what happens to MBUX) and when I lock the doors MBUX does not switch off. I have tried soft reset but it did not help.

I will contact my dealer tomorrow and see what they can offer. So far my experience with GLE is not best.

Bummer, it's likely a hardware problem. Take it to the dealer, I suspect they will replace the unit. Maybe you'll get lucky, and it will be corrected by a S/W update. Either way, shouldn't cost you a penny. I have a 2020 and my MBUX had to be replaced, haven't had any issues since.

Visited my local MB dealership today. They told me that a software update did not help and they will be ordering new mbux module.
