2021 GLE 350 orders
Hi everyone,
I am about to place an order for a 2021 GLE 350 and wondering what will be the true wait time form order to delivery. Has anyone placed an order recently? If so, what was the delivery time you were given?
I know COVID has made a mess of the supply chain but hoping maybe now things are looking better considering the improvements we are seeing globally?

I placed my GLE 350 order beginning of October and it was supposed to arrive mid December. It was delayed by over 2 months and it finally arrived end of February. So overall it took about 4.5 months for mine from the time I placed the order to the time I took delivery.
I think that there will still be delays because there are still part shortages but my guess is it will take about 4-5 months or so for it to arrive from the date you place the order.

I just recently placed an order (end of March) with my dealer and was given a timeline of 4 months (end of July) for delivery. After looking through a bunch of threads on this forum it seems like the average wait time is 4-5 months. I've heard some people have waited a whole year but in those cases their car came in not exactly as they spec'd it and then I've seen others receive their car within 3 months. Too many moving pieces to truly get an exact timeline but 4-5 months seems like the most consistent wait time. Hopefully, with the pandemic situation supposedly improving, that will maybe speed things up but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Delivery times are all over the map. I’m heading for 5 1/2 months and still waiting. My wife’s car had it’s custom order changed after it was locked. So the one thing that you should always check on is your options even after it’s locked. And keep checking they can do it anytime. My only recourse is a reorder.

This will be my first one. Is it a common situation that they get the rider specs wrong? I would be so upset after waiting all this time and have to reorder.
Guessing i I have to check constantly to see the status and make sure they do it correctly?

They build to your spec, but if you decide later that you want to change something after it is locked, it can add a delay. According to my SA, you lose your spot in the queue and get pushed to the end of the line.

i don’t know how common it is to change someone’s custom order but they did it to me. And after it was locked. Merdeces could not or would not change it back. So I had to reorder the vehicle and hope they don’t change that order also. There are no guarantees on that one. Another thing that eats me up is that my SA or myself were notified of the change. I only found out because I went to the dealer to see about another late delivery and asked for a printout of wife’s order. Pretty lousy.
