Hi, so I just had phase 1 of the whistling mirror fix and my dealer who is great didn't have any knowledge of the new charger part you mentioned but asked me to get the part number so he could order. I'm really hoping your guy comes through. Keep us posted, the rep tried his Iphone 11 and had teh same issue, but they had no issue when charging other phones. So weird.
I've not heard anything this week on the part. I'm happy to PM you the info for my SA if you want to have your dealer give him a call.
Can you send me the same information you have regarding this issue? My husband and I waited 6 years before we purchased our first car and it was the 2021 Mercedes 450 GLS. It’s only been about 6 weeks and we’ve had so many issues. The wireless charging being one of them. At first, it worked with android but not it’s not working with iPhone or android. Sad thing is when I brought it in 2 weeks after purchase, they told they me they fixed it. They didn’t do anything. After telling them nothing changed, the rep at Mercedes said I need to wait on an update without even further looking into the issue.
this is also a separate topic but has anyone experienced rust spotting on their MB? Again, it had been 2 weeks since we purchased our brand new MB and rust spots were appearing. I’m taking it in today I’m about 2 hours for a full assessment.
The SA told me this morning that now it's looking like two weeks before they will get the new charger in. I'll report back with the part number as soon as it comes in.

Hi All, Just picked up my dealer stock GLE 450 today (Selenite Gray, DG1 AMG Exterior, DP1, Premium package 1, Pano Roof, Heated Ventilated seats, Augmented video , Black MB Tex, metal weave trimand 21" rims) and while I was bummed that I couldn't find a GLE with the air suspension, I am still really happy with it after a day of putting it through its paces and a solid hour sitting parked on my block in NYC reading the manual. Ride is by far better than I had anticipated with the 21's and it just looks so damn good. I'm sure I'll find a reason to want the air suspension, but I needed the car now. I'll share my driving impressions soon. So here's one issue that I am not sure if it's a "me" thing or a universal issue. I understand the carplay wireless vs wired problem, but every time i put my Iphone 12+ pro max in the wireless charger, it shows that its charging for maybe 20 seconds, then it stops charging. Is anyone else experiencing this issue. Kind of annoying to have wireless charging that won't charge your phone. Overall, I am seriously happy and can't wait for an extended out of city day trip this weekend. The GLE 450 is pretty damn fun. Years ago I had my CLK430 worked over with Brabus upgrades, but I'm trying to temper that idea because this is also a family car. Anyone with this charging issue? Thanks.

My 11 pro max charged great even w case on and rubber mat in charging area installed.
I ended up taking the rubber mat out anyway to open up more space in that compartment. Mercedes should have had a larger area with all the new larger phones coming out. Anyway i just got an iphone 12 pro max and i get that error message too- even w case off and rubber matt removed.
By the way…am i the only one who has to use firefox to read these posts on my iphone? Safari and duck duck go don’t render this website correctly. It’sa ride to hell and back until i paste the link on firefox then everything reads well.

iPhone 11 Pro Max + Safari works fine for me.

After nagging to my dealer, they ordered parts Parts order.
and fixed my GLS 450. It now charges all phones perfectly. I have added a pic of the order of it helps anyone!
Just picked my 2021 GLS 450 today. Dealer had ran multiple tests and ordered parts last week. They said something about voltage pads that were affecting the charging. I’m not sure but I attached the parts order if it helps. Do not let them tell you there is no solution. My charging works excellent now on all phones, just like it should.
I took my GLE to the dealer to troubleshoot. No replacement control unit was needed. The latest software update fixed the wireless charging issue with iPhone 12 Pro Max. Hope my post saves your time.

You will need to take it to dealer to perform the update.
I suggested them to replace with the part number posted on the board earlier but, they said it is the same part number as the one the car already has. Hope this helps.

I’ve got all the latest software update on my car and phone the dealer is now replacing the wireless charging pad in the car said it seems to fix the problems

I have experienced exactly the same issue. i have tested the wireless charger with iphone 11 and lower and it works. with iphone 12 i get a message wireless charging activated followed in about 1/2 minute by one saying it cannot charge and remove items from tray. seems like the wireless charger hardware or software needs updating even though i also only got my car 2 weeks ago.

I recently took delivery of my new GLE as well. Same issue. I took it to the dealer and they found a technical note (or whatever MB calls it) numbered LI82.70-P-073025 for iPhone 12 charging problems. It proposes a software update for the phone cradle (N123/8) but when the dealer tried to do the update they got a warning saying not to install it and that a remedy is being worked on. So, dealer advised me that they would keep an eye on this and have me come back in when MB resolves whatever the issue is with the update. Maybe call your dealer and see what they have to say. Did you ever find a resolution to your wireless charging issue? I've owned a 2021 GLE 350 for 5 months now and the wireless charger worked great with my iPhoneSE (2020 model), unti I upgraded my phone to an iPhone 12 a few days back. Now, I get a message "Remove device from wireless induction charger.....". Only thing I can think of is that the iPhone 12 model isn't compatible.

I have the same issue (my gle is 40 days old) and have told my sales guy about it but haven't made the appointment with the service department... Keep us posted on what they did to fix it.
