I have a '21 GLE 450 with the Drivers Assistance Package and it does have the Car Wash mode available. Turns off a ton of sensors, folds the mirror in and puts up the 12 MPH warning. No clue if it came with a "package" or not but I do have it.

We also have it. If not standard, then it should be part of the parking package (DA3) or Surround View (501) as the carwash mode uses the front camera to let you align the tires to the track. On active suspensions it may lower the car as well like on the GLS but we have the standard suspension.
I have the AIRMATIC suspension package and Car Wash mode raises the car. Only issue with this is that it's too tall for the folks drying the car to wipe down the front windshield much less the roof.

One thing to be aware of with car wash mode. I used car wash mode the other day and since the car sits so much higher, the tailgate hit the top of the car wash building while they were vacuuming out the back while it was getting pulled in. They said they have never had one do that before.

The tailgate is high as it hits my garage door when it's inside. You can adjust the opened height by stopping door at desired height and then pressing Close button until you hear a single beep.
My 53 has the car wash mode and I tried it a week ago and it worked fine. I was a little confused on how to revert back to normal mode after the car wash. Maybe it turns off car wash mode once you go faster than 12mph. I have all the options except the $5K suspension.

When you enter Car Wash Mode screen, there is a checklist that appears on the right third of the screen. At the bottom there is a virtual button that says "Start." Hit it to start.
The button will change to "Stop." Once you are done, hit that button to stop.
Or, as you say, you can go over 12mph and it will stop on its own.

I have car wash mode on my 2020 450 with airmatic, and the only issue is that after turning it off, the mirror folding on locking no longer works. I have to turn it off and on a few times in settings to get it to reactivate.
Good idea to use car wash mode if you have it. Rained yesterday so went to car wash. Must have forgot to turn off wipers and didn't turn on car wash mode (didn't like it as car is raised high so people finishing off car can't dry windshield). Long story short - front driver side blade broke off - appears to be a plastic piece that holds wiper to wiper arm.
