Info available with a VIN #?
So, got my VIN number yesterday. I think I can sign up for the MB owners site, but not certain. What can or cannot be done, or found out, once you have your VIN?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts....

I don’t think you can do anything until you purchase the car.
Only thing you can do I believe is check vin decoder to see what is installed on car.

I just my my VIN number today, and added it to the Mercedes Me account. It accepted it without issues, but cannot proceed to activate without being hands-on with the car. It will show basic details about your vehicle though.

Thanks, Timmay, tried it also and got the same 'cannot activate'. Am out of town, but will see my dealer the middle of the week and see what they can do.

Your Dealer can activate at delivery or you can do it by scanning the QR code on the door jamb. I used the QR code but don’t recall the exact steps...might have been instructions in the App. On my previous car my SA set it up at delivery. Doubtful you can do it before the car has been through the Dealer pre delivery process, let us know if you get it done.

After mine was activated on delivery it still took a few days for things to work, apparently all the MB computers had to talk to each other first.
