MercedesMe App Question

Quick question regarding the MercedesMe app and adding your vehicle to it. When you enter the VIN does your GLE appear as the color of the car or does it appear as a generic black GLE?

Reason I ask is because my dealer just gave me a VIN and I entered it in the Mercedes app. I know I can't continue until I have the car but my concern is that at the moment it is showing a black GLE as opposed to the selenite grey which I ordered.

Mine is Grey and the picture in ME is also Grey so I assume it shows the color of the car. I didnt set it up, my dealer did before I picked it up.

I’m assuming you need to go through the entire process in the app. Just hoping it comes with the color I ordered.

The app is supposed to show your actual car with all the options. You get three pictures and you can swipe left/right to see them. Should be a 3/4 front view, front view and 3/4 rear view. However, there have been issues with the app showing a generic picture. For the longest time the app didn't show my C63S coupe, and instead it showed a generic veiled car. Same for the web portal. The web portal actually showed a generic veiled SUV. After several complaints both the web portal and the app started to show my actual car. But I'm guessing until your Mercedes me connect service are activated for your car, it probably just shows some generic stuff, since it isn't in the system yet. The dealership will have to activate the services first upon delivery.

That's what I'm assuming. It just weird that I even got to that far because you're supposed to verify when you turn on the car and obviously I don't have the car in my possession so surprised I even got to that part.

I do not think you are in a fully activated state yet. When you get delivery of your vehicle the dealership will complete the pairing process on their end. You will then see limited options until the services fully activate in addition you will need to accept the Mercedes Me terms and conditions that will get sent to you by email. Once you do that you will have access to all the options in the APP and your car should appear correctly. Usually the delivery guy or gal that does the walk through with you will have a little tablet that they finish the pairing process on. Hope this helps.
