What kind of deals are we seeing on 2021 GLE450’s???

I have a 2021 GLE450 on order that was built last week and is due in at the dealer on 7/16. It is fairly loaded, with an MSRP of $84,920.00. Does anyone have any idea as to discounts and lease deals on these right now? Thanks.

I would be surprised if there are any deals at the moment. I picked up my GLE 450 today but I had ordered it nearly 3 months ago. At that time, I was able to get a 2% discount from my local dealer but that involved me calling around to other dealers within a few hours of me. The local dealer matched the offer I received from one out of town and locked it in to the purchase agreement. I asked my SA today if the same could happen and she said no.

Did you get any discount when you ordered it?
If so be happy. Car would sell for MSRP right now if it were available.

When I picked up my car this week they said anything on the lot had a $5k mark-up and the amgs were $10k. They had 40 new cars on the lot.

Right now if you can get the list price, count your blessings.

Well, my ordered GLE450 arrived at Fletcher Jones yesterday. I’ve always negotiated prices & leases after my cars have arrived, but I admit that in this crazy year, I made a mistake in not trying to nail down a discount when I placed the order. They informed me that buy or lease, the price would be bumped by $5,000.00. The vehicle arrived short the Dash Cam and the Augmented Video, so I politely told them I would not be taking delivery, but would wait to order a 2022, when this pricing madness and chip shortages have subsided. They were very good about it, since they can probably sell the vehicle for even more than $5K over to someone desperate.

I love it. If you didn't get what you ordered don't give in to their demands. Better days will come and you will be back in the driver's seat.

Time to shop around and find a new dealer. You’re a repeat customer and they expected you to pay $5 over sticker on a vehicle you ordered…with missing options? That would be the last time I ever set foot in Fletcher Jones.

They're only the the largest MB dealer, doubt they would care.

Actually not. I have never bought or leased from Fletcher Jones. I have been a very loyal MB Laguna Niguel & MB Foothill Ranch (same ownership) customer for decades, but all of a sudden, their service department started treating me like crap, so I moved over to FJ. The FJ service department is out of this world! The people there are fantastic and they can’t do enough to please the customer, at least that has been my experience so far.

And you know, I understand the padded pricing. They are getting far fewer cars right now, but employees need to be paid, right? Salespeople have mouths to feed as well. If they can get those kind of markups right now, more power to them. Fortunately, I am not in need of a new vehicle, so I’ll just keep my trusty Ford Transit Van for another six to twelve months, until all this madness subsides. By the way, when is the GLE facelift coming, 2023?

@Streamliner if you can wait then I think that would be the best option because why pay MSRP or over MSRP for a vehicle that is mass produced?

I bought three cars from Fletcher Jones over the past 20 years and always found their S & S to be excellent. They are the highest volume MB dealer in No. America and there are reasons why this is so. The other two Orange County dealers are OK but the FJMC customer base is in Newport Beach and environs and they demand the very best and are prepared to pay for it.

As far as people these days insisting on a deal, forget about it. It’s a business. And by the way, has anyone checked the pack on a new Corvette since they came out last year? Life’s a ***** and the you die, as they say.

Dealers are not only marking up the price but also bump the MF on leases. This is free money for the dealer as they have a profit sharing model with MBUSA on any finance markup. Last markup I saw was nearly 1.2% in interest!

I'm a canada, but last dealer I talked to was looking to get me in with a 36k discount. It's nice but I'm pushing for a 46k one. Don't let these dudes fleece you out of a car that's already 10-15k overpriced.

My dealer gives cars away for free. Sometimes they even pay the customers. Look how much value this post has - easily worth 46k in a thread from years ago.
