Out of curiosity, does modifying your coding affect the vehicle's warranty? or ELW (OEM)? With a new auto, as in xmas new, I'm just figuring the car out as it is.....but may be interested in a few of the offerings coding changes can provide. Just do not want to end up at the dealer for A/B or any other squawk service and receive any feedback regarding "options" that were not originally programmed/installed.
I just gave my dealer and the service manager a heads up (they actually got a kick out of seeing the new screens) and they were fine with it. I guess it was when they did the mirror replacement so no electronics work but I didn't have any issues.
Had a great coding session on my new GLE53 with Raj today. He enabled the Intelligent Hi Beam Plus feature, disabled seatbelt chimes, set 1-touch turn signals to 5 flashes, added Race mode, added Master and Pro to AMG Dynamics, and set the car to auto start=last setting (ie OFF) upon restart, and default to Individual mode upon restart (instead of Comfort). Took under an hour and my old Macbook was not very speedy (have to use an Intel-based MB so my M1 Mac was of no use here). Raj was great to work with and prefers to chat on WhatsApp vs email, just so you know. Great guy, easy to work with, and would recommend him.
Like to know more about the AMG drive buttons on heating steering wheels. My 2021 GLE63S has the carbon fiber/Dinamica steering wheel and has the heating option which omitted the drive buttons that I wish it had. Would love to add them and the LED headlight+ feature (plus any other feature the 63S doesn’t have).

As far as I know, you can have either or, not both (at least according to the configuration website last time I checked).
Had RJA code my 2022 GLE 450 yesterday... Very professional, took them 10-15 minutes to do everything.

I hear so many good things about RJ Auto that I just want to get something though I may not need it. I don't want anything AMG as mine isn't one so the AMG instrument display is a NO for me, however, I am intrigued about the "AMG MBUX options" I read a couple of posts up. What is different from the non AMG MBUX options?
Also, what is the process to order? I went to RJ's site and see something about credits but no price pr procedures. Thank you in advance.

I'll let @rjautomotive answer that. As far a pricing, you must buy the ODBC dongle, which comes with five credits. If that's enough for whatever you want coded, than that's it.
If you want extras, you just purchase extra credits as needed. In my case, I bought 5 xtras for a total of 10 credits to add all the goodies I wanted.

I didn't get any MBUX coding but the coding I did have done was overwritten during my last (first A) service. I have an appointment today to have it reflashed.
I should have clarified. I also had the AR retrofitted so I assume they flashed something. But, I didn't lose everything as the seatbelt nanny warning was still silent.

Completely off topic, but the AR retrofit, I am looking into it an did not know it was possible.
What was involved. Did you order your car with it and was dropped due to shortage or is this a proactive approach to have it installed after the fact?

I originally ordered it and it was dropped at whatever point (June 2021 build). I got a letter a couple months ago saying they'll retrofit it for free. So it didn't cost me anything since I got a credit for it when it was built. Would it be possible to retrofit it if you didn't originally order it but have the 549 head unfit? Possibly but I can't tell you.

Maybe RJ can tell us if a 549 is necessary for some advanced features. AFAIK my build is a 548, with AR.

Since it says "AMG" and there seems to be no additional interesting screens (pending response from users), I probably won't be doing that, although I have the AMG Line exterior package so AMG logos would not have me as a poser (thoughts any one?).
