Just ordered the RJ Automotive Coding package
I'm taking the plunge and orderd the RJ Automotive Distronic Pro upgrade (adaptive cruise control), AMG Mbux screens, Sport+ and other options for my GLE 450. Raj seems very organized and responds quickly to questions. Cross your fingers for me on next report!!!

I placed an order as well. I would have preferred to have something to give me more control to do it myself but considering the costs of buying the necessary equipment and learning curve, this seemed to be a reasonable approach to get most of the things done I wanted.

What does the "Sport+" do?

expensive is relative term ;-). Did I need to do it haha no but I think it’s overall reasonable. Pretty straight forward on their website about costs and Raj responds quickly. I wouldn’t have been able to get adaptive cruise any other way I guess too. I’m ending up around $900 for the stuff I wanted. I’ll let everyone know how it goes once done.

Hi, When you say active exhaust, do you mean the flaps in the exhaust system? Is the 450 (with AMG package and sport exhaust) the same as the 43 exhaust system? I'm not going to opt for fully disabling the flap to open as a separate available option

On my 53, I have a dedicated button for it on the dash, plus programed on one of the AMG control buttons on the steering wheel. I believe it's the same with the 43.

Not sure about the 450, but I have seen folks post photos of theirs having the flaps but not button to control them. If you have them, I would inquire with your tuner and see if they can program this.

Sport +/Individual as default Mode when starting vehicle
Enable Sport +/Snow Mode for Non AMG vehicles
Seatbelt Warning Disable
Also going to ask if they can disable the 'don't forget your key reminder'. Hope that one comes through!

I haven’t really noticed any difference, we’ll see if any different with Sport+ but why do we even have variable flaps if it doesn’t make a difference in sound.

There is a motorized flap in the exhaust system which allows greater or more restricted flow depending on the mode you are driving in. The more open the flap, the louder/growlier (if that's a word) the exhaust sound can be. I'm not sure if it actually makes a difference in back pressure improving performance any.

Thanks for the explanation. Never heard of this type of thing. I thought it was some type of thing that the driver engaged separately and had no idea of the purpose either open or closed. Had company cars for 30 years. Didn't have all these options and confusion. Every 3 years, got a new car and those are the best to "not" own.
