Just found out that my two MB dealers got the first shipments of 2022 GLE's today.

 

Good news. Do you know what the model mix is? 350, 450, AMG 53/63?

So far only GLE 350's. One dealer has 2 GLE 450 at port on "hold." No explanation provided. More 350's scheduled for next week….some that we delivered today were customer orders and others for dealer stock.

 

I just placed an order for one, arriving in December. I'm curious if these 2022 will finally support wireless Apple Carplay.

 

As far as I know, wireless Apple CarPlay is not mentioned anywhere on the 2022s changes. Hopefully I’m proven wrong.

The lack of wireless / fullscreen CarPlay is pathetic at this point. Just came back from a road trip in France where our rental 2 years old Citroen had it all and working perfectly, over 5,000 kilometers driven. MB is looking really stupid on this one, I have to say.

It doesn’t matter to me. I just plug it in. Put it in the console. Out of sight. It’s full screen in my car.

 

I went to my dealership yesterday to road test a 2022 I-4 GLE 350 just in case our 450 was to be delayed and I was offered a cancelled 2022 GLE 450 ORDER with options that I was not able to get in my order. They were AIR SUSPENSION AND MULTICONTOUR SEATS. Overall, a very nicely equipped unit. And this new unit is scheduled for production on 10-14 or earlier. Keeping our fingers crossed.

 

I wonder how the canceled 450 with a build date of 10/14 still has Air Suspension on the final build when other 450 orders, including mine with a 10/10 build could not get the Air Suspension. I’m curious how they decide which order’s get those limited upgrades.

 

Let me clarify. The order was declined by the customer once it was put into the production schedule and found out that two of their options were not offered by MB. So the dealer kept the order for their use and offered it to me. The order most likely was accepted way back in June when AS and MCS were still available.

 

Do you know what the 2 options were? I was offered a 2022 GLE53C that’s coming in November but I saw in the build sheet that it was missing wireless charging. We passed on it because I ended up getting a Defender for my wife.

 

What’s a Defender?

 

That makes sense now. It’s still a great vehicle without those items. Good for you!

 

Land Rover Defender. She wanted a G but with sky high prices and limited inventory we ended up going for this instead.

Our 2022 GLE 450 was built and sitting at the Vehicle Preparation Center almost 10 days ahead of schedule.

 

Our dealer https://www.mbotw.com/ had a couple of 22's on their website. They post the window sticker extract with the MSRP, but the place where they post the asking price says "Call For Price"...

Hi Easyrider. Since, I assumed someone else's order, I couldn't tell you when their order date was. My guess would be sometime in June since the unit is coming in with Air Suspension and Multicounter Seats. . But the build date for the GLE was October 14th.

 

Thank you for the update, I just got a message from my SA, and found out my ‘22 450 was built yesterday on 10-5-21, now waiting for shipment. My original build date was 10-10-21, so it was 5 days early.

 

This is my dealer as well, everything new has a "market Correction" factor added to it. You will pay blood money for a new vehicle right now...

 

Two days ago my local dealer had 7 2022s (6 350s and 1 450) and one 2021 350 listed in stock. The 450 showed as “incoming”. Yesterday, the 2021 was still listed as was the 450 that hasn’t arrived yet but the only 2022 350 was the most expensive one, ~70k with AMG line, night, and interior, no premium package, HUD, and heated back seats. Weird mix of rare options, nice options, and no prem package. Still no photos but they showed 44 miles on the odo. So they must have sold 5 of the 350s the day they arrived.
