Water Inside Cabin during Car Wash (2021 GLE 350)

I took my 2021 GLE350 to Car Wash and used Car Wash Mode, during wash i noticed water coming inside from Sun Roof, did I do anything wrong or there is some known problem with Car Wash Mode?
Should I get it checked with dealer?

First of all, why would you take a relatively new car through an automated car wash? I don't care how "soft" the car wash brushes are, they will always put swirl marks on the paint. I wash my cars by hand every time - two buckets, lots of rinse and good soap, gently wool mitt and little pressure. Even this is not foolproof. Second, this is not normal, likely a seal that is broken or missing. Yes the dealer is the right place to start.

Of course, if the car leaks, you should bring it in. Car wash mode would not effect the sun roof.

Carwash mode does nothing magical, it just does the following:
raise vehicle if air suspension lowered
fold in mirrors
temporary turn off parktronic
rain sensors are turned off
confirm if the sliding sunroof is closed
confirm if all windows are closed

Other than that, it is probably a defective seal or improper installation just like how everyone else said that warranty should take care of no problem. Keep us posted on what happened though.

Obviously, you live in a warm climate. The simple act of driving the car is more harmful to your paint than a car wash….bugs, sand, rocks, mud, road debris…parking lots. Just drive and enjoy it…if you are worrying over ever imperfection, your not enjoying it.

Perhaps... The flip side is that if I see swirls on my paint, I'm not enjoying it...

Cheers

Car wash damage won't show up on white paint.

Which is why I got white.

Agree they're harder to see, much harder than dark paint, but you can still see them when the light is right (one of our GLEs is white as well).

BMW has better paint that doesn't swirl easily.

Even with dark colors.

Atleast in my experience.

All paints swirl, no matter how hard they are.

Nice to see all the helpful information the OP received that's relevant to his question...

My sunroof had an alignment problem that the dealer easily fixed. I didn't get water inside when I abused my car in it's weekly tunnel wash but there was wind noise so there was a gap big enough for water too.

It's always fun to see the reasons people choose their colors. Some say "I'll never have a White car because they are impossible to keep clean," others say the same about Black. Similar comments about swirl marks, with this First World dilemma.

Maybe next year's hot color will be Bug Guts Yellow, masking that problem.

Try to choose a colour that doesn't attract seagulls as well.

I may be in the minority but I chuckle at all the responses that the OP didn’t ask for.

Attempting to go back on topic. Check to make sure the sunroof is fully closed and not tilted in any way. If it's closed all the way, then it is possible that the drain lines or whatever they are called that drain the water from that area are clogged. I remember seeing a post here a while ago about that. Since you should be under warranty just take it to the dealership and have them fix it.

Moving back off topic, I just ran my 7 month GLE through an automated wash today and she still looks GORGEOUS!!!

I've experienced clogged drain holes (on a BMW convertible, but same issue). I put a bit of bleach in them with a catchpan, after running water through to see where they would leak at, and it cleared them up pretty well.

I would check the drain holes too, as mentioned above.
It is common and I think everyone that daily drives and parks outside must do this at least twice a year.
