2022 GLE53 AMG Coupe Order delayed

Have you gotten any updates on your car being released to a carrier? My 2022 GLE53 has been sitting at D4 status since 10/6 and is priority 1 as well but still hasn’t shipped. All auto trader ads still seem to be stock photos.

No updates on my order. I’ve been texting my guy at the dealership twice a week and It’s always the same answer, still waiting at VPC. However, he was telling me their website is starting to automatically populate with the 2022 models coming in but doesn’t really mean anything for our orders. I don’t understand it but I truly do think most of the dealers and even some MB corporate employees have no idea on timelines and dates. Until upper level management says something I feel like they’re just left in the dark. It is getting frustrating though. To know that the car is fully built but just not being released because of unknown reasons.

Update: Dealer said they were told the launch of the AMG GLE will be early December. Was then told that customer orders as well as their own allocations would be on their lots in late November/ early December.
Almost hard to believe them anymore but we'll see when December rolls around.

No, dealer didn't provide me a netstar code which is why I'm hesitant to trust them. It's been at D4 for over a month now so I'm assuming the next logical step would be D5 but the guy I'm working with said it's D1 which makes no sense (unless he read it wrong on his computer).

I really don't think the dealers have anything to do with this delay stuff. I truly think it's MB just not being able to make enough and releasing them late. I think the dealers are pretty pissed off about this situation too. It's in their benefit to have as many as cars as possible on the lot and on order. With the limited supply of cars I'm sure they're feeling it on their bottom line which sort of explains the "market adjustments". Selling some AMGs over 10k asking. I think it has to do with the fact that they're not selling as many and they're just taking advantage of the current situation. It's their market. I've searched the entire New England area for any GLE53s (there are no 2021s and then all the 2022s listed on the websites aren't even on their lots yet - all 20 something of them lol). It sucks but it's the reality we're living right now.

Dealer sent me an update on my order. It went to D5 (released to carrier) and then to D41 (Label Printed) which I had no idea existed. But they told me it would be a couple of week until it arrives on their lot.

thanks vdh, my dealer also texted me this AM saying my car was finally D5 released but that they still didn’t have a delivery date. So looks like things are finally progressing! Keep us posted on yours!

Yea at least we know the car is being delivered. My dealer did call MB distribution and they told him GLE53s are being put on the trucks/trains that will deliver them to the appropriate locations. Obviously depending on the delivery location it could take 2-3 weeks. But we are close and that's a win.

The dealer ETA for my car was yesterday but didn't arrive. Original ETA was 11/24 so hoping it comes in today.
