The store didn't even exist until around this time last year, so when you bought your car there were no packages at all. Prior to MY21 the first 3 years were included with the purchase of the car, so the first cars came up for renewal in 2022. That's when MB released the store and yes last year one could renew a-la-carte. That lasted less than a year until they rolled out the Store 2.0 and now it's a single package.

2020 GLE450 polar white AMG pkg.
Same situation here, but I received an email stating my current subscription expires on September 22, which is 3 months early. I need to inquire why I was shorted over 3 months on my original subscription.

It's likely that they didn't change the "in-service date" from their PDI date to the sale date.
They might be able to correct that at the dealership.

The subscription is technically not tied to the in-service date. The free trial starts when the service is first activated, which normally coincides with the in-service date, but doesn't have to. For example I took delivery of my car in Germany and drove around in Europe for two months, so my in-service date is in May, but the services didn't start until September when the car arrived in the USA and I took delivery for the second time, so my subscription is now September through September. It's possible for a dealership to activate the services earlier and then transfer them to the final buyer. Was this car a demo or something perhaps?

If that is the case, then I could be mistaken by the screen I saw. I will have to wait until my current subscription expired before checking it again.

When did you see that screen offering you the individual services? Was it awhile ago or recently? Also, you can check and see if you've been switched to the $150 package. They changed it so that you can renew at any time from what I understand and don't have to wait until it's close to expiring.

In the screenshot I shown, under "Purchased digital extras", "Your additional digit extras" section, I see the individual pricing for different options, and that was after I purchased the one year subscription so about a month ago?
If I go to the same place now, it has the button to "Add to basket", but its grey out for me which I assume is because I have active subscription.

If I were a betting man, I'd say it's greyed out because it won't be available as an individual service anymore.

I believe they are only showing because they were purchased last year. The subscription adds 12 months to the services that were previously purchased, so you can have different expiration dates on them now. In my case The Stolen Vehicle Assistance shows up, because I renewed that one two months after the other services, so last years' subscription is still active until November before the new subscription takes effect.

Off topic-BMW heated seat subscription

Just a note. BMW finally relented and is no longer charging a subscription fee for their heated seats! 🙂

Has anyone been able to confirm if they have been able to renew a la carte after their services expired? I renewed last year for $115 for what I wanted (not everything) and this year I am only given the option to renew 'everything' for $225 CAD with no other option, my a la carte services expire on Oct 31st.

If it's $225, for get this not even worth it for the amount I actually use it.

A la carte is gone. I called and they confirmed it's no more.

recently I have started incorporating Metamucil into my diet, it helps loosen my stools because my *** hurts so much these days from being fked by every single company I deal with. My wife has this app functionality in her Ford for free and not to mentioned these bozos @ Mercedes pushed out and update which crippled their app for a week, and didn't even get a dollar credit for it either. Joke.

I bought a 2022 GLE last September. Mercedes Me subscription just expired, $150/year to renew subscription. I set it up for auto renewal. I suggest renewing before your subscription expires. If you let it lapse and you renew like I did, you will lose all your settings.

it’s too expensive, $250 is to much to justify.

It's $250 in Canada, which is like $10 USD...just kidding, but with the current exchange rate it's like $180 USD. So not too far from the $150 we pay here. It's actually cheaper now. Last year with the a-la-carte offering if you wanted to renew everything it was over $200 USD. I paid more last year for less features than I do now with the new pricing for the whole shebang. $150/year is like a Starbucks a month..haha, but of course if you are not using it then why renewing? $10-$12/month is about what I'm willing to pay for connected car services, although with the little driving I do these days it is less and less worth it. I already cancelled SiriusXM.

well my services expired today and I’m also presented to renew everything including garbage I don’t even use. Ford is free…

I'm not paying $225 CAD (less the amazing 5% discount) to unlock and remotely start my car.

I don’t know what car I’m going to buy next but will definitely consider something else.

to make matters worse, as I logged in to review the pricing I see they are also now charging “performance upgrades for the EQ line up, if you spend a monthly fee you can improve the performance of the engine…… what the hell? Oh the dash cam? That’s also a monthly fee.

Sounds like Mercedes is moving towards the BMW subscription model with heated seats etc (however I think BMW back tracked this)

guess next car I will consider different options…. This is very very petty from a company that supposedly only offers “the best”.

I read someone was still able to see some statuses like doors and windows via the app after their subscription expired. If you are not going to renew your subscription, would you please update us on any app functions that still work without a subscription? Then maybe others might consider cancelling their subscriptions. I might not renew if I can still see the status of my doors and windows, and especially if I can still lock my doors.

you can see status but you most definitely cannot lock or unlock the doors this is a feature included if you pay the whole package.
