New tires replacement on 2020 GLE 350 4 Matic
I am totally not happy with Cooper tires that came with with new my GLE350 4 Matic . I barely got 15K miles and the tires really wore off that I need to change tires. I have a spare tire and with this I think I could just skip the run flat tires , not sure if this is OK . The dealer recommended the run flat tires when I asked for a quote and I see that most of them do not have a very good tread wear or no mileage warranty at all.
My GLE is running on 20 inch tires and I am considering tires like Alenza S Ultra from Bridgestone or CrossContact LX 25 from continental . I see that they have a higher mileage warranty and the tread wear is respectively 800 ( highest I ever seen ) with 80K miles warranty and 740 with 70K miles warranty . From research and reviews I see that Alensa S Ultra would perform very well in all seasons . ( it looks like it's newly introduced to the market).
Does anyone have these tires installed on their GLEs ? What's your experience with these tires? performance , riding noise, etc.. Please share ..otherwise what tires would you recommend ?

You don’t have a location and tire size posted so we are left guessing. You mentioned CrossContacts that are All Seasons so I would add Michelin to the list. They have several great AS tires and Tire Rack & others post professional reviews…better than some opinions. The Mich. CrossClimate is a good AS & Winter rated tire but lower mileage…everything else is great, I have them on our Audi. Pirelli Scorpion Zero another good choice. I would recommend doing a search for your tire size to find options and then compare reviews on the better options. There are always tires that don’t come in your size. If you have the 20” 275/50R20 there are a lot of good choices.

Still can’t fathom why Mercedes chose to have different wheel offsets on a family non-AMG SUV that has the same tire size at all four corners. Still a great SUV, but you’d think they’d only use different wheel offsets on the AMG models with fatter rear tires, I digress.

Ditto on the run flats, i will not have them on any car in the future again.

I got about 25k miles out of them on the W166. I believe 30k is doable.

Tire Rack which is where I always get my tires from (they all come with 2 year road hazard protection included at no cost) is having a special on them (I run 21" staggered).

BTW MO means co-developed with Mercedes, MO-S means "Silent" technology with a cushion belt, MO-1 is co-developed for AMG cars.

I was lucky to even get tires, let alone MO-1s, in late fall. Tire Rack had none, Discount found three, only two in MO certification.
It hardly snowed last year, of course.

From TireRack (https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...ay.jsp?ttid=85)
If rain and wet roads are a concern, consider replacing your tires when they reach approximately 4/32" of remaining tread depth. Since water can't be compressed, you need enough tread depth to allow rain to escape through the tire's grooves. If the water can't escape fast enough, your vehicle's tires will be forced to hydroplane (float) on top of the water, losing traction and increasing stopping distances.
