I am totally not happy with Cooper tires that came with with new my GLE350 4 Matic . I barely got 15K miles and the tires really wore off that I need to change tires. I have a spare tire and with this I think I could just skip the run flat tires , not sure if this is OK . The dealer recommended the run flat tires when I asked for a quote and I see that most of them do not have a very good tread wear or no mileage warranty at all.
My GLE is running on 20 inch tires and I am considering tires like Alenza S Ultra from Bridgestone or CrossContact LX 25 from continental . I see that they have a higher mileage warranty and the tread wear is respectively 800 ( highest I ever seen ) with 80K miles warranty and 740 with 70K miles warranty . From research and reviews I see that Alensa S Ultra would perform very well in all seasons . ( it looks like it's newly introduced to the market).
Does anyone have these tires installed on their GLEs ? What's your experience with these tires? performance , riding noise, etc.. Please share ..otherwise what tires would you recommend ?

I have Conti Cross Contact LX25 on my W166. Fully satisfied. Longer wearing, more comfortable and quieter than the rubbish LX Sports from the factory. And the LX 25s are a few bucks cheaper than the sports.
Let’s face it…RunFlats are almost worthless except in the city for a short drive at low speeds. It goes downhill from there…price, handling, ride quality, wear, etc. The Mercedes spare is a little better in that you get better tires but pray you don’t have to use it. Roadside Assistance is a back stop. It’s a personal decision. I will never buy a car wit RF’s unless the deal includes changing them for non RF’s. We all need to evaluate where we drive and the distance to help. If I lived in a wilderness location, I might buy a full size spare and carry it along with a real Jack and tire change tools.
You don’t have a location and tire size posted so we are left guessing. You mentioned CrossContacts that are All Seasons so I would add Michelin to the list. They have several great AS tires and Tire Rack & others post professional reviews…better than some opinions. The Mich. CrossClimate is a good AS & Winter rated tire but lower mileage…everything else is great, I have them on our Audi. Pirelli Scorpion Zero another good choice. I would recommend doing a search for your tire size to find options and then compare reviews on the better options. There are always tires that don’t come in your size. If you have the 20” 275/50R20 there are a lot of good choices.

I have Mich CrossClimate2’s on my Infiniti, it is an excellent tire. I had them on a rental car in Germany, and drove from Frankfurt to Ramstein on the autobaun, and was impressed at how quite they were dispite the unique V tread pattern. In my opinion, the best 3 peak all season tire you can buy. That said, I won’t put them on my GLE, they are unidirectional, so you can’t rotate them at all without dismounting and rebalance them. At least with non unidirectional all season tires you can rotate left to right.
Still can’t fathom why Mercedes chose to have different wheel offsets on a family non-AMG SUV that has the same tire size at all four corners. Still a great SUV, but you’d think they’d only use different wheel offsets on the AMG models with fatter rear tires, I digress.

You need to provide more info, especially size. There is another concurrent tire replacement thread you can read: https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...es-gle350.html. I have the Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Seasons and they have hardly worn at all in 17k miles, and ride and handling are good, as well.
I just put Pirelli Scorpion AS3 all season on my 2018 GLE 550e. I'm pretty satisfied with about 2000 miles so far. Much improved ride over the crappy Pirelli run flats specified by Mercedes. I don't have a spare, and can't get one (no place for one in a hybrid). The car does have a jack and I carry a Mercedes tire mobility kit.

Hi, My 2020 GLE 350 has the same Cooper tire, the tread is going flat after less than 20K miles on it. I am considering Continental CrossContact LX25 too. Did you get Bridgestone or Conti? How do you like it?
Thanks,
I have almost 10k on my 21" Pirelli Scorpions on the ol GLE350 with very impressive results. Wear is very even and not much of it. Hoping to get 30k at least?
Ditto on the run flats, i will not have them on any car in the future again.

My W167 4MATIC came with Pirelli Scorpions which I always ran on my old W166 RWD. No complaints so far.
I got about 25k miles out of them on the W166. I believe 30k is doable.
Any thoughts on Toyo Proxes Sport?
Tire Rack which is where I always get my tires from (they all come with 2 year road hazard protection included at no cost) is having a special on them (I run 21" staggered).
I also have the 21" staggered Pirelli Scorpions All Seasons at 16k miles now and very pleased with the tread as well. Mine's the MO-S designation if that makes a difference.

I'm also super happy with these tires. 18k miles with minimal wear and they are quiet and handle great. The Tire Rack has them in 275/50-20 with MO designation as well as the 21s.

Many of us are happy with Pirelli Scorpions which for some, come standard on the GLE (my case). The Tire Rack is having a special right now on all sizes including your 20". They ship free and directly to your tire shop of choice where they install and balance for around $80. I am unsure how much a Merc dealership charges for tires and if they include road hazard for free.

I save money at my dealership compared to Tire Rack or Discount Tire.
BTW MO means co-developed with Mercedes, MO-S means "Silent" technology with a cushion belt, MO-1 is co-developed for AMG cars.
That is interesting. What does the dealership charge for tires and what size?
I paid around $1600 for MO-1 winters, in 21" staggered fitment, mounted and road force balanced with tax.
I was lucky to even get tires, let alone MO-1s, in late fall. Tire Rack had none, Discount found three, only two in MO certification.
It hardly snowed last year, of course.
Our 2020 GLE 450 came with Michelin Primacy A/S in 275/50/20. Happy with the ride, performance and wear of these - just had it in for service with 38k miles and the tech reported the front's @ 7/32" (green/good condition) and the rear's @ 5/32" (yellow condition), so seems like these should be good until at least 50k miles (wear rating on them is 540).

Going into winter, your rear tires may be ineffective in the snow.
From TireRack (https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...ay.jsp?ttid=85) If rain and wet roads are a concern, consider replacing your tires when they reach approximately 4/32" of remaining tread depth. Since water can't be compressed, you need enough tread depth to allow rain to escape through the tire's grooves. If the water can't escape fast enough, your vehicle's tires will be forced to hydroplane (float) on top of the water, losing traction and increasing stopping distances.
