Over air update
Just got notification that there was an update to MBUX for my 22 GLE 450. It launched and successfully updated. I would like to know what this update was supposed to accomplish and I cannot find any info as to what was done. Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Did you see if it shows up in Mercedes Me?

I use MercedesmeConnect. The old MercedesMe is not functional for my SUV. When I visit MBmeconnect, it only shows that the update has been done and provides no explanation of what was done. One would think that there would be some info. All it said was "Infotainment update installed 01/22/2022". I had gotten a notification a few days ago that there was an update available, but had not driven the vehicle for more than a week.

As for finding the MBUX version, you can do so here: https://mbworld.org/forums/glc-class...lc-update.html

I was not able to find the version in the suv. I will have to mess around with it more. The other screens that you referenced looked nothing like the one I originally had. Mine update referenced Infotainment and MBUX. DId not go into particulars.

Strange, you should have this screen showing you what was the update about, I am sorry to hear that it didn't appear. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...6384f65903.jpg or https://mbworld.org/forums/glc-class...lc-update.html

Hmmm, it certainly is weird isn't it that even Mercedes Me doesn't tell you the changes? NTG 6 is MBUX 1.0 and NTG 7 is myMBUX (MBUX 2.0) used in the new S-Class and C. In your case, 081 is the version. Ya that certainly doesn't tell much if anything, unfortunately.

The map data does not match up with your system. Please insert a medium containing the corresponding map data.
I turned the car off for a few minutes and no change.
And that was that. Happened at 5 pm eastern. I have a prior scheduled appt Thursday. I guess I I’ll just add it to the list. A bit frustrating. Did you get any type message?

i didn't have that message, the navigation just failed, the car couldn't locate its own position.
no worry, your dealer can fix it quickly. but just disappointed that MB didn't have any quality check before sending out the update.
From now on i will turn off the auto update function to avoid this from happening again, no rush to update to latest version

I manually downloaded 2021 version 16.1 on Saturday with no issues. Have you tried a manual installation? Maybe the OTA update got corrupted? It’s also possible that the map for your area is bad.

I have had that same message come up 3 times in the last year. Resetting the system by pressing the volume switch did nothing. Restarting the car didn't work either. The next time I parked the car for over an hour (same day), everything was fine.
The first two times were on long trips to Colorado after having stopped for gas. The third time happened last week not 10 minutes from home.
Acting on a hunch, I went to the Mercedes Me website and found that new maps are available for my area. Supposedly my home location receives updates over the air but other regions must be updated manually. A flash drive formatted properly and the Mercedes download manager program installed made this a fairly easy process. I now have updated maps for any state I am likely to visit in the coming months. Hopefully that will take care of the problem.
