The vehicle is 10 months old and at 8000 miles I am getting service reminders, They show up in MBUX and it even offers to call the dealer for service. The only options are to call or call later. I tried going into ASSYST and can't find where to turn the reminders off. A service reminder at a closer date I would not mind. I am also getting reminders via email, Mercedes me connect, and even Facebook for crying out loud. I really don't want to go to the dealer now that they are so pushy. Does anyone know how to turn these reminders off without confirming a service A was done?

Was your build date about 12 months ago?
We had the same problem with a Macan, and it turned out the dealership didn't reset the delivery date in the system.
The dealer reset the in-service date and everything was fine.
Your car is due for service. Take it in and get it done. Service is due every 12 months or 10k miles whichever comes first and the 12 months clock starts when the car finishes production as the oil starts aging regardless of whether the car is driven or not. The reminder will turn off as soon as you do the service and the service reminder is reset. There's no other way to turn it off.

I agree but I am 2 months and 2000 miles away. The most we drive is 1000 in one month. Having the daily reminder for something that is not due is not right.
It was built in March 2021. The dealer not resetting the delivery date is very possible. They did nothing to the car other than wash and put gas in it. Tires were delivered at 67 lbs among other things they should have caught.

As said, your service is technically due because your car is now 12 months old, even if it spent part of the first two months being shipped to the USA. It is what it is. The service is due every 12 months or 10k miles whatever comes first. Some dealerships do reset the service reminder upon delivery, but that's technically dishonest. It's stretching out the first service beyond what the factory recommends. They recommend annual services for a reason if the car isn't driven enough. The fluids in your car don't care when you took delivery. Once they are exposed to oxygen the aging process starts. Brake fluid for example starts absorbing moisture from the environment and needs to be flushed every two years regardless of how much you drive. It's part of every Service B. I'm not sure where the issue is. The service intervals are what they are.

Only the Dealer can reset it AFAIK. I had the same thing happen on my 2020 at 7200 miles, talked to the Dealer Service Manager and he agreed it was premature. They reset mine Synthetic oil is good for high mileage but from what I was told other factors need consideration. Do you tow, lots of stop and go city vs a balance of Highway, humidity/condensation, etc? It’s hard to defend not doing it early for a new car except for the inconvenience. I would have done mine early anyway except for the Covid lockdowns.
Just as an FYI, the service reminder can be reset under ASSYST PLUS in the workshop menu by anyone. You get into this from the trip computer by pressing the Back/Home button on the steering wheel until the home menu comes up and then pressing the left touchpad while still holding Back/Home. Ignition must be on position 1. But you don't wanna do this unless you actually did the service. It keeps track of each service and they are numbered. A, B, then A1, B1, then A2, B2 etc. The dealership can reset it without advancing the next service I believe.

Built date is 3/21 we aren't there yet. In 1977 I used to work for a company which a 250+ vehicle fleet and their own repair shop. Quaker State required cars be driven at least 9000 miles before the sending in the oil for analysis. Those were cars with carburetors and much inferior lubricants. Hard to believe 45 years later oil starts deteriorating the minute is is opened. .

You are about a month from it. The reminder starts before the due date, so you have time to schedule the service appointment. I don't know if the clock starts on the last day of production or the first day or somewhere in between. Doesn't really matter. When it tells you, then the service is due. We can debate this till we turn green, but just realize that if you have warranty claims down the road and they see that you didn't perform the service according to the schedule, they may decline the warranty claim. Once the car is out of warranty you can do what you want, but properly adhering to the factory recommended service schedule is a prerequisite for the warranty if you care about it.

My dealer Mercedes-Benz of Ft Pierce says it can not be reset and I will have to live with it which we know is not true since Macan and Ron.s have had theirs reset. Nothing like a happy customer.
