To those with US and Canadian spec 2021-2022 GLEs do you have a front passenger net like the picture below? I placed a fancy floor mat on my GLE and noticed on the mat there is a cut-out and remembered my ML350 had a net there so I went through some of the photos in here and saw some V167 with a net on the center console area. Odd enough there is a Red GLE on the picture thread that does not have it as well. Might have to go check the other GLEs on the dealer's lot and will complain if I see them on other vehicles.

Got a 2022 GLE and mines does not have a net. It doesn't have a sunglass holder either. I noticed '22s at the dealership were also missing these items. Seems like they cut them from the 2022 models (maybe not all, I don't know).
The sunglasses holder gets omitted for the camera thing inside that reads your hand gestures near the screen. I forgot what it’s called.
And my ‘21 580 doesn’t have the front passenger net.

Same with mine (‘22 GLE450), no net and very disappointed that it did not have a sunglass holder as I opted not to get the interior assistant so that I could have the sunglass holder (even though it was very small). They can’t blame those items on chip shortages, just more ways to lower their costs.
My '20 450 has the net, but not the Sunglass Holder, I would have been ok if the seats had a holder like in my '14 E class which doesn't have the sunglass holder either.

It's just not there. I didn't option the MBUX assistant so I could have the sunglass holder. And now I got neither. No idea why they cut things like that and the net. Either an oversight or they were trying to cut cost. I'm gonna go with the former. Doubt they get much cost savings from those things.

That just sucks. I wonder if on the build sheet it shows those getting omitted. Ask the dealer about it nicely. Ask why are the other cars have it and yours does not? If it is not shown as omitted on the build sheet then complain as that is a standard feature of the car and not a "option". I called my salesperson and will be looking at the other cars if the cargo net is present on the passenger side. If he finds one we will ask MB to get the part shipped and placed on my vehicle. Again, those are standard options on these cars. All of my MBs had a net on the passenger side even the glass holder.
BTW...if you will take out the trim piece on that top console be very careful as it is thin and fragile.

I thank God daily that my 6/21 build GLE450 doesn't have that tackyass thing
It is very useful. We use it for small things like candy wrappers or other snacks that needs to be thrown out after we use the vehicle. I rather see it vs getting buried on the door pockets.

Well when I'm wrong, I'm really wrong, I went out to the car with full intention of taking a pic of no sunglass holder... Imagine my shock, when I learned tonight that the silver thing I always thought was a light, was in fact... Literally never pushed that silver button, would have bet the house it was a light!

I just found a used ‘21 GLE 580 for sale online and it has the front passenger net, but yet mine doesn’t. Who knows why and I cant complain much because mine did come in with everything on it as ordered during a time they were omitting things.
(But what’s even worse, its a used SUV with over 6k miles and they are asking $10,000 more than the new sticker. Things are always over priced in Atlanta anyway.)

I'm in Atlanta and can confirm the prices are way out of sync, especially RBM, They had a used 2021 G-Wagon on the lot at $298,000!

The DA0 MBUX Technology Package on my '20 included the Augmented Reality for Navigation (camera) and Interior Assistant (Gesture Control). It's the latter that occupies the space where the sunglass holder goes.
