GLS 450
Headliner

Any ideas how I can fix this? It seems that the hard part of the headliner - I assume during installation, when they bent it to fit it in the car “broke”- is broken.

and here it is. I’ve tried to push it and have the rubber cover it and hold it but no luck. I don’t want to have something like glue cause the airbag is right there and I don’t want to have it impacted in anyway. Any ideas are welcomed . Thank you!

I would imagine this is covered by the original warranty.

This place is a joke.
Yep, unless you did that it's under warranty.

Agreed with the above. Not acceptable new vehicle quality.

Agreed, maybe ok for a Tesla but not a Mercedes. Im sure the dealer would fix this under warranty. My dealer was patient enough to fix even the tiniest of the rattles. It was coming from the headliner near sunroof. This was only a few 100 miles before factory warranty was going to be over.

Brad, what area was your rattle? Sunroof near the rear passenger area? Would you mind sharing the final service order?

my rattle wasn't on a GLE. It was on my W212, back in 2014. Sorry, all I remember is that the engineer put some felt to stop the creaking noise.
