Sudden Jerks while in idle (parked)
Considering the fact that disabling start/stop is super easy, like the button is right next to ignition start button, changing driving mode seems like an overkill. Additionally, the car can prompt to restore driving mode and start/stop status on start too. So, there are options.
Were you able to get any definite answers? I bought a 2022 GLC Coupe earlier this year. Once I got it home I'd put it in park and it would make the same jumping/jerk sound like you described. Techs don't know and I'm waiting to get it in with a specialist. It's like the brakes are adjusting or trying to set. The noise/jolt is every time I put it in park, but it's inconsistent and comes from the front and back. Sometimes it's more aggressive than others and is very annoying, considering it does feel like someone is bumping the car. Once I put the emergency park on (or open driver door) the Park brake is set and the noise and jolting stops. Any suggestions would be very helpful!! Thanks!
Anyone have a dealer resolve this? I have the same issue with the brake creep noise while in park. I'm taking into the dealer tomorrow but I do not have high hopes they will do anything about it.

I hadn't noticed this before, but it seems that if you put the car in park it roughly holds the brake at whatever percent you were when you pressed the park button. when you turn off the car, it then releases the brakes and either lets the parking pawl stop the movement or engages the parking brake. This will certainly result in some movement of the vehicle after you have put it in park and turned the engine off.
I had the same theory so I came to a stop with minimum pressure, at most 1 or 2 bar pressure, then shifted to park. I did not reproduce it. Maybe a larger sample size would show different results.

For 2024 Mercedes integrated the ISG into the transmission vs it was a seperate unit prior years. My 2024 had a violent jerk sufficient to rock the vehicle when the engine started when parked at stoplight. Same thing occured when starting out from using "brake hold". A big issue for a $140k luxury vehicle. Cycling the stop start buton produced a milder jerk. My two prior v167's were silky smooth. The Service Manager said he couldn't fix it...some are worse than others. Traded the car and it took 6 months for the Dealer to sell it at a big loss from what they gave me.

It does this in my 2024 GLC300 and my wife's new to her 2023 GLE350 if idling for 10 minutes. I think is an annoying feature to make sure you're awake and paying attention. Must be part of the 20 minute shutdown warning.
Hi, I need help? I bought my GLE400 diesel 2020 4 months ago, with 100,000 km, in excellent condition with full equipment, it's a great car, but I don't always have one problem, so the problem may not be there for a few days, then it is: when I stop at a traffic light, hold on the brake, the car itself suddenly gets a vibration, a shock, a jump, I don't know how to describe it, it even happened to me that my car itself turned off in the middle of the traffic lights from that jump. I took it to the dealer for inspection, they told me that the car has no problem, but I'm not sure about them, otherwise the start stop function doesn't work, I don't know why, that's how I bought it, if anyone faces the same problem, I'd be very grateful help. thank you

Is there a way you can display the gear you're in, on the instrument cluster, to verify what gears you may be in for troubleshooting?

mikapen I have not noticed at what speed it stops, I will notice it and write to you
To see if it's still in second gear when you come to a stop, and then shifts to first while you're standing.
It may be a fishing expedition but isn't that what troubleshooting is?
You might elicit more responses if you upload these to YouTube because a lot of members, including myself, avoid downloading videos for fear of viruses.

Maybe some are OK with unknown downloads, but you're right, many aren't.
As an IT professional of over 20 years with an interest in security, an infected video file is HIGHLY unlikely. There have only been a few vulnerabilities found in media players over the years and cyber criminals usually target much larger audiences than the members of a relatively small automotive forum.
