2022 GLE450 4Matic electrical gremlins

My vehicle was custom ordered from Crown Mercedes in Dublin OH in 10/21 and was delivered in January. Thus far, I have encountered several peculiar “electronic” malfunctions, including the following:

1) On a growing number of occasions, one or both rear seat windows have been found to be mysteriously part-way down after parking the car.

2) On several occasions, after parking the car and locking it, I later found that the tailgate was fully open.

3) A couple of weeks ago, I was driving home one afternoon when it was 92 degrees outside and the AC was running well, even though the exterior temp indicator read 69 degrees!. Huh? At any rate, I parked the car for 30 minutes to get a haircut, but when I got back in the car the exterior temp reading was still stuck at 69 degrees, only this time the AC was no longer functioning and was blowing hot air. I tried doodling with the various controls but it made no difference, the air conditioning was not working. I tried recycling the system several times, but it made no difference whatsoever. On the other hand, the next morning I got in the vehicle and the air-conditioning and the temperature readout were miraculously functioning normally once again.

The vehicle went into Crown Mercedes‘s shop for over a week, and while the air-conditioning issue has not yet recurred, the window up and down issue has. I am working with Crown Mercedes to bring the vehicle back next week for further evaluation and servicing.. I have good faith in them and hold them in high esteem.

Any thoughts are welcome…

I never said nor did I reply anything about a “check engine light“. Duh.

AC-I faintly remember a post or two where it was a faulty sensor in the roof area that caused hot air.

The window and hatch could be key Fob related if it happened once but multiple times??? Some recent car I owned had a long press function that opened all the windows and the sunroof to cool it down. Might have been my GLE. Very strange happenings with your car.

I had a Buick years ago that had electrical gremlins the dealer couldn't figure out. After driving 450 miles or so, we stopped by a dealer because the idiot lights came on about halfway through the trip. The dash looked like a Christmas tree They said the battery didn't have a good charge. Regardless, after multiple trips to the dealer, nothing they did helped at all. We filed a lemon law case and got out of it.

The dealership has replaced the overhead control module, and thus far, no further AC or false outside temperature readings. They have me scheduled to bring the vehicle in next Wednesday in order to try replacing the door/window control module.

In the interim, I have no tolerance for snarky, mean spirited, and condescending responses. Many thanks to those of you who are psychologically mature adults for your helpful input.

If you hang around here you will find there are a handful of snarky individuals that are of no use other than to irritate everyone.

I have no idea why they waste their time. To have that much Schadenfreude and venom in an automotive forum is beyond me. What they are doing is beyond trolling and I have no idea why they are even allowed to post here. These kind of people ruin forums: they deter people from posting and asking for help and generally drive people away. Maybe that's what they want.
