I have the Mercylion A10-2CH hidden dashcam in my Benz and I really like it. The camera hides really well by the mirror and the rear camera can't really be seen thru the tinted rear window. The wires are easily tucked away to hide them.
The video quality is really good. The quality is adjustable, which determines how much (time) you can store on the microSD card.

If anyone here cares about image quality, I highly recommend looking for one with a Starvis 2 sensor. Many of the highest rated cameras have this sensor. Obviously it won't install as slick as the above camera but at least the image quality will be good.
I've had similar issues with my Mercylion dashcam for Mercedes in the past, and it's usually a problem with the wiring. It's possible that the wire for the rain sensor is touching another wire, which is causing a short circuit. This could be preventing the rain sensor from working properly and could also be causing the dash cam to receive power from an unintended source.
