2022 GLE 450 (Black on Black)
Look at the rear left door glass partition trim piece. Mine had a small play and when I cleaned the glass area and when I hit the frame, it rattled a bit. I took felt tape and inserted around the bottom of the vertical trim piece. I also did it to the rear right door just in case. My opinion is that one clip was missing. Good luck with your issue.

I also couldn't tell if it was a physical rattle or electronic buzzing. You'll have to turn the volume up.

The noise in the clip you have was different than the squeaking I was referring to. Mine was more metal on metal and not as consistent. In my case it was clearly the metal bar where the tilted seat would latch on to when in the locked and up (seated) position. If seat was tilted forward, not folded flat, the noise disappeared so it was the metal latching mechanism on the latch bar (seat base frame).

Also checked were the AMG lit threshold trim and trim pieces around door and pillar and those were not causing any noise issue.

Hope this can help anyone else with a similar issue..

Yeah that buzzing strangely went away on its own. It has not come back.

Most newer cars are so naturally quiet that even the tiniest noise gets amplified. I thought my car developed two additional rattles but were nothing more than items in the center console storage bin and my phone sitting in what would be the wireless charging area, where it can’t sit perfectly flush in there because of the chord.

My rattle has been solved. Took the car to the dealership and had the service tech drive with me. Thank goodness he could hear what I was hearing too (yes - I wasn't going crazy!). They had to replace both rear shocks/struts. Rattle is now gone!

That is exactly what happened with our 2020. Had to have dealer shop foreman drive with me- he instantly recognized bad shocks Both rears replaced.

One thing that annoys me a bit is the fact that Mercedes didn’t fully felt line the center console storage. Anything you store in there will rattle off the side walls.

I ended buying felt sheets and anti-slip rug pads to see which one works better lining those walls. The only reason I may try the anti slip because it has some self-adhesive properties.

Believe my 63S has lined side walls and I get no noise from items stored in it.

Mine has a lining on the bottom and back walls but not on the side and front. I just put soft stuff near the sides and hard stuff against the lining.

My water bottles also bang around in the door pockets a bit, so I pack things around them too. It's a good place to keep a spare microfiber towel.

This response saved me^^

I read this after discovering a rattle in my CPO 2020 GLE450 @25k miles & sure enough, both rear shocks replaced. Unfortunately its only one item on the growing list of warranty repairs I've had to complete on this car.... sorta regret getting the 2020 now.

Rear right speaker rattling (replaced)
Rear shocks rattling (replaced)
Washer fluid pump not working (replaced Twice)
Seats cracking (replaced cushion)
Weather trim falling off roof (replaced)

I pray the list stops there....

I think all MB shops are required to have 'Chassis Ears,' a set of four devices that magnetically fasten under the car to pinpoint noises. They talk to each other, you get a pinpoint location.

If they can't locate noises with a quick test drive, request the Chassis Ears.
