EQE SUV

The EQE SUV is the multi-purpose variant of the EQE executive saloon, available just like this latter model with the key innovations of the EQS yet at the same time more dynamic than the EQS SUV. In terms of headroom and legroom, as well as elbow room, the five-seater EQE SUV is one of the most spacious representatives of its class. The EQE SUV celebrates its world premiere on 16 October 2022.

That's in global markets, though. Mercedes-Benz confirmed to Autoblog that American-spec models will come standard with two separate screens: a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. The Hyperscreen setup will not be offered in our market for the 2023 model year; not even as an option. Moving beyond the dashboard, the five-seater interior features a blend of trim materials including wood and aluminum, and buyers will have five color combinations to choose from. We're told the EQE will be one of the most spacious models in its class.
Let the rumor mill spin!

Yeah, that rear window is tiny. However, it probably wouldn’t matter too much if it has a rear view camera. In fact, I hope it has slick cameras just like the Tesla.
That’s too bad about the hyperscreen. Hopefully the screen becomes available over the next few years after release.

Mercedes has been leading Tesla in autonomous driving for quite a while.
Mercedes already has approval to operate their autonomous cars on public roads, under certain conditions.
Despite their multiple wavelength radar and cameras, their permissions require the system to deactivate during fog and other low visibility situations.
I expect Mercedes has done a better job to protect their IP, after Tesla bought their battery partner and IP, I think in 2018.

Tesla’s Model X gives up that traditional boxy design, hence it doesn’t look like a minivan but it certainly sacrifices space and room. It’s essentially an SUV “Coupe.” In fact the GLE Coupe looks more like the Model X than the traditional GLE.

I agree about the MPV looks, just look at an iX versus X5 or EQS SUV versus GLS. I like the Rivian R1S, but would be weary of a new company. The Cadillac Lyriq looks pretty decent, if a bit overstyled in some areas, but has a more traditional shape. The Mustang Mach-E despite its stupid naming is still probably the best looking EV SUV, with the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq5 as a close second. The E-Tron SUV is also very good looking, but lacks in efficiency/range thanks to the carryover platform.

I just watched the entire replay of Tesla's Annual Shareholders Meeting. It's a Cult.
He's an extraordinary man, but his predatory moves should be outlawed. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some lawsuits from such as BMW and M-B about IP theft. VW and Stellantis, too. Oh and Twitter.

On the EQS, the price between sedan and SUV is identical. Given how expensive the sedan is, I hope MB doesn’t price the SUV higher.
