Just installed my new AMG Edition 55 Gas Cap...
Took thirty seconds to carefully slide out the rubber attachment line grommet. I love it.

Did you use pliers or just hand pressure? Mine arrives tomorrow and don't want to muck anything up.

I simply sprayed it with some warm soapy water and you can get both fingers right by it and gently push the grommet off with your fingernails. Piece of cake. You'll see when you get it. Lube the new one with warm soapy water and it will pop right it.

At first I thought this was a joke... almost $300? I suppose if you get an EV you can save the cost of this.

I paid $15.50 from the dealer - not a typo. I went in a couple of weeks ago and inquired about getting one. Parts guy said it has to come from Germany and they are $15.50 each. So I ordered two. When I got home and saw how nice they are I figured what the heck and ordered four more. Next day dealer calls me and said there was a mistake in the computer. Turns out they cost $210 from the dealer and their cost is $136 according to him. I said cancel the order for the other four and he said don't worry about the two you bought.

I though it would be a nice small touch for my 63 but seems a bit steep for a gas cap. Looks great
