Been staring at this all morning. Restarting does nothing. Just me and my typical good fortunate I presume? Not a widespread problem or outage?
Tried "Hey Mercedes" to get directions home, but she responds that no home address is saved. If I request a specific address she tells me "directions not available". I attempted to navigate to local chain stores to see what would happen. She brings up lists with correct address, but once again says directions are not available. It's like the car doesn't know where it is. This car is breaking my heart.
Yeah this happened to me. My resolution was to disconnect my wife's Mercedes Me account, leaving only mine active. Did you have more than one Mercedes Me ID in the car?

Unfortunately the solution back then was to replace the head unit. That sucks. Hopefully the issues stop dogpiling soon. New ones kept showing up for me.

Disappointing, but not surprising. The issues are really piling up now. I think the car really is possessed.
I had this same issue on my 2021 GLE 450 which would pop up at the worst times when I actually needed the Augmented reality. It started to get really frequent and after trying everything I was told it could be the head unit. It started to get less frequent towards the end and then kind of disappeared. My 2021 GLE 63 has not exhibited this behavior and it has both the heads up and augmented reality. Dealership did say it might need to replace head unit as they tried updating the maps to see if that was teh issue and it wasn't.

What is the latest software version? Mine has not been update since new and going out of warranty this month.
The Service report doesn't specify a software version. It does reference bulletin #LI82.85-P-069381 on the topic of Navigation startup failures. If I'm looking in the correct place in my infotainment, my current software version is apilevel/ntg6/081.
Don't change the head unit or pay the dealer for MBUX / Map update. Just delete the user profile that you used and create a new one or use other user profile in the car. Navigation will work fine and updates will go thru fine....
