Is the extended warranty the same as original 4yrs/50000 warranty?

Is the extended warranty the same as original 4yrs/50000 warranty?
I read thoroughly the MB extended limited warranty details on MB website, but still couldn't determine if it is a 100% extension of the original 4yrs/50000miles limited warranty?
I never bought the extended warranty before, but for GLE with so many bells and whistles, I am going to buy one, particularly, the repair cost of a MB is pretty high.
But just not sure about MB extended warranty coverage, and also MB website says the extended warranty can be cancelled and be 100% refundable before it starts to be effective, so customers must cancel the extended warranty from the dealership where they purchased from? or can be cancelled through MB customer service?

Only if you purchased the vehicle new do you get to extended the factory warranty, you can purchase the limited warranty under existing warranty coverage, then you'd be looking at CPO coverage if you are out of factory warranty. Jeff Jackson provides great prices on the MB extended warranty. His price is better than the next best thing which I believe is Fidelity, just look here, rennlist, porsche, and other luxury forums and they all rave about Fidelity. The difference is that Fidelity will take you further than MB's 4 original years + 3 additional extended.

This place is a joke.
No, the CPO or ELW from Mercedes is not the same as the original 4/50 "bumper to bumper" warranty. The extended warranty typically omits things like interior/exterior trim and wear items such as shocks, rubber hoses and parts, etc. The extended warranty from MB mostly covers drivetrain and electronics.

His price is better than the next best thing which I believe is Fidelity, just look here, rennlist, porsche, and other luxury forums and they all rave about Fidelity. The difference is that Fidelity will take you further than MB's 4 original years + 3 additional extended.
