Over the past few weeks, we have encountered a persistent issue with our Mercedes-Benz navigation system, as it remains stuck in the "Activating Navigation" mode. Despite attempting to manually update the maps, the problem persists, and my search for more recent MBUX threads on this matter has been fruitless. Could someone provide insights or suggestions on resolving this problem without necessitating a visit to the dealership? Android Auto works fine.
I went through this a few months ago. The fix for me was a software update completed by the dealer, although others reported a self-fix or even the need to have the head unit replaced. My original thread can be found here.
I discovered that when starting from scratch, the navigation function works when I use my wife's profile, but not when I use mine. However, if I switch from her profile to mine, both profiles trigger the navigation loop. I tried creating a new profile and similar results as using my wife's.

I resolved this by doing a system reset. Go to Settings > System > scroll all the way to the bottom and hit the Reset button. You will lose all of your settings but when the system came back up the Navigation was working as expected.
This started happening to me, intermittingly, a few weeks ago. However, Nav would always start up, then after a few minutes of driving, it would state "Activiating". I brought it to dealer last week, and showed them photos; however, they could not find anything wrong. The very next morning, it happened again. Sometimes, a restart doesn't help, not even after an hour or so.

When I got my GLE and set it up in the Mercedes Me app, 3 things got suck on "Activating" The Navigation, The DashCam and Smartphone integration, however, everything is working fine. Navigation, DashCam, I can use Android Auto or CarPlay. I called Mercedes me support about it a couple of times, they said they would've someone get back to me but no one ever did. However, they didn't think it was a huge deal since the features the app claimed to be stuck in activating were all working fine.

I have this GLE 2-years, now, and this just started. Nav was a one-time purchase/activation; therefore, MercedesMe shouldn't be an issue, although I did check there.

Issue has been resolved.
Took the vehicle in Thursday evening, and picked it up Friday.
Handed them the service bullitin that @Eaton was kind enough to share, and just like magic, they found the issue. Thanks @Eaton !!!!
Looks like I spoke too soon. "Navigation Off" has returned after 4 days. SA said he is going to speak with shop foreman. I'll let you know what happens.
