Rattling noise driver side door - 2023 GLE350

I got my 2023 GLE350 in January and I keep hearing some ratting noise on driver side door when I drive at slow speeds on rough roads. I took the dealer 2 times so far and every time they say it is fixed and after 2 days or 3 days I hear the noise again. I hear like some lose plastic parts or something similar. Anyone else faced this issue and got it resolved. Not sure what my next steps are? very annoying and disappointed with mercedes quality.

I have had a similar rattle for a very, very long time. Multiple trips to the dealer to get "fixed"... same thing, fixed for a bit and then its back.

Last fix was apparently something loose on the passenger side, where the noise was "traveling" to the drivers side... not sure I believe that BS. Before that they thought the window wasnt sealing properly because of dirt... meaning it was closing completely and resulting in the rattle.

I'm convinced its related to the black plastic trim on the outside of the door/window starting to separate from the top of the door.

I have a rattle noise when closing the door (but not noticeable during driving), the dealership I went to was able to find the source and fix it in one visit, and so far, it hasn't come back yet (finger crossed)
If you can consistently replicate the issue, do a test drive with the tech and show them, it should help them with diagnostic. (In my case, they can hear it right away)

I did go to the dealer twice on this already. Once the Shop foreman drove and acknowledged the nosie and said he will fix it. they kept the vehicle for a day and returned next day and said it if fixed. All they did not was apply some gel on the rubber liner or stripping around the door and it was good for 2 days and noise came back. I called MB corporate and now they say try another dealer and if it is not helping they can invoke lemon law. Annoying and awful.

Their suggestion is Lemon law for a door rattle, crazy!

Customer service rep mentioned 4 options
1. Try with a different dealer and get second opinion. if that does not work
2. Trigger Lemon law
3. Trigger Trade in Assist
4. Goodwill buy(Not sure what this means)

All these drove me nuts and they don't want to escalate to their right engineering department to identify and fix it.

Noises can be elusive. Do you have a stethoscope so you can pinpoint the noise?

I had a bad some noise coming from the drivers door and went to town on it. Noise can be coming from a few places.

The handle is ‘plastic welded/riveted’ and I noticed one of the rivets was loose so I added some JB Plastic Weld to better secure it.

The door panel grommets were missing a couple of the bushings so I added some felt.

Lastly, and I haven’t done this yet, there is an odd shaped clip at the rear top of the door panel that helps secure the panel to the door frame that needs to be replaced. It is loose and I believe this is the primary culprit. It’s a white/yellow rectangular shaped piece near the lock pin. Haven’t found the part number yet but haven’t made a huge effort to locate it either.

Noise is back. In my case, I think its related to the black door trim or the window not sitting properly. Will wait until my next service coming up for the dealer to take another look at it.

I've had a very annoying rattling noise for almost a year, and was driving me crazy to the point where I disassembled the entire rear cargo area and installed sound deadener on all panels, the damn noise was still there. Finally took one of my techs on a test drive with me and had him lay down in the back while I was driving.
Discovered the rattle was coming form the actual rear hatch lock, caused by the hatch not closing very tight.
On the sides of the hatch when opened there are two 30 Torx screws which we used to adjust the two rubber feet by pulling them out a little. That automatically created a bit of tension on the rear hatch when it's closed and NO MORE rattle!
I almost fell asleep driving home that day from the my cabin finally being quiet, and now has been 4 days and still no noise anymore.

I dropped off my car at the dealership for service, they said they will check during the cold start which does not make sense. Anyone has any luck complaining to MB corporate.

Is it a rattle you're looking for?

If so, a cold car is likely to show more rattles. It sounds like a good strategy.

If your windows aren't fully closing or opening, you can synchronize them.

Using the window switch, open it all the way, pause, re-push the switch and hold for 5 seconds.
Then close it all the way, release, pull and hold for 5 seconds.

It works on Windows and sunroofs.
