When you couldn't hardly find a GLE, much less without an ridiculous mark up, we "settled" for the same no Airmatic. Still regret it. Strangely I have yet to find ANY aftermarket manufacturer offering a suspension upgrade. I've only been looking since around Jan of '22. Hers bottoms out on the bumps at hwy speeds.

I ordered a set of Ceika coil overs that I have yet to install. They offer multiple options that would provide the ability to lower the vehicle. I bought them to hopefully get rid of the floaty feeling.

Some options both great brands. Good luck.

Thanks for all the info, so I ended with ordering the H&R springs. Because the coils from Ceiko and Hiro don’t have EDC. I will update when I install them with pics and ride comfort.

Make sure to investigate whether you will need to install any additional adjustable components to get the alignment under control after the drop.

The person at h&r said there is no adjustments can just bolt right on. My shop also has the Hawkeye wheel alignment correction. So we should see. Keep you posted

Well, I have H&R springs on my BMW X3. For my GLE I have the airmatic suspension and I wanted to get the OBD lowering module but no companies have it available for the 2024. But both are big suspension companies.

Hey! Yes, I have it installed I’ll show you some pics the ride is much tighter however you can hear a squeak noise once in a while.

@Shumai , car looks great with the slight lowering, for the squeak, see if you can spray some silicone grease on the bump stops. It worked for me on my old cars back in the day, might have to refresh it from time to time.
@suby01 , I got my airmatic lowered with BenzNinja to "euro spec" height, looks similar to shumai's photos above. You retain all other airmatic functions also. Lowering solved the "floaty" complaints from my wife. Highly recommended. If you decide to go the BenzNinja coding route, read up on the other coding offerings you can go for while he is in there (ILS+, start in individual mode, etc.)

Not quite sure what the “euro spec” is supposed to accomplish. Does it move the suspension to US spec (-2, “lower” mode)? Lower is like 1cm lower. Im not sure I would be comfortable with (-2) for the SUV of this size and weight

@stktyz33 Car lowered approx 1/2 inch or so in comfort and also sport (Peter can prob give you the exact figures), still plenty of clearance so nothing to worry about. Off-road remains the same. It’s a free offer that is easily reversible if you don’t like it, I would say try it out if you are already in there to get ILS+ opened up.
My wife moved into the GLE from a Macan S and right off the bat was complaining about it being floaty and “didn’t handle the same” regardless of sport mode.
I had a few things coded along with lowering one afternoon, returned it to the wife without mention, let her out into the world with it. She drove both for a week or two, Macan moved on, the wife one day randomly mentioned that the GLE was better and asked if I did something to it. Also had my s63 lowered when getting ILS+ and have nothing but good things to say about it.

It's probably the stock height for a 53/63.
Floaty is bad.

Got the springs installed yesterday. No issues, looks great. Firmed the ride up nicely, no floating feel and the steering feels more firm and planted. Oh yeah, looks nicer as well. Drop was as advertised, 1.2 inches. Very happy with the outcome. Rides more like my X5 now. Thanks for info.
