You missed the point of most of the replies to his post, especially mine. yes...we understand you're pissed off and why. But don't give up on the car just yet. Get it sorted out and with all this behind you, you'll find it's a great car to own and drive.

I was going to say the same thing too. Paying this much but can't have a proper working car? Everyone has every right to call it whatever they want to call. I had some issues rolling off the lot too. Mine were not as crazy but it had to stay at the dealership two times. Was I mad? H**** yeah. These issues should have been caught by their quality control department. Sure it's a great car when it works and it offers some features that no other similar priced cars does. But that doesn't mean that it can have some issues rolling off the dealership.

2023 GLE63S - Edition 55
As others have stated, these new vehicles are very sophisticated and can sometimes suffer from initial gremlins. I had a few within the first few months of ownership with my 2020 GLE 450 but it's been absolutely perfect since then. Not a single issue in over three years. I just picked up a new GLE63S, fingers crossed this one provides the same trouble tree service.

Your dealer will get you all fixed up and hopefully things go well after that.

Some of the responses here were dead on. The issue turned out to be a bad sensor. The dealership also rewarded me with a really nice gift card. And for some of you on here, hopefully this POS turns out not to be a $95k POS!💋.

@kwmeo What type of sensor and how much labor hours was it to fix roughly?

Here's a list of issues I've had since new:
Blinkers not working
Blank dash screens, one time the system blacked out and reset itself. Had to create new user profiles like it was new.
Car takes off by itself after slowing and making a turn, like the Distronic kicked in.
Sudden deceleration while using cruise control, traffic sign assist is turned off.
Heater comes on when set to auto 72 degrees and it's a hundred degrees inside the car.

How did the Lemon Law proccess go? I live in Florida, and will be using the Lemon Law if they can't get my issues resolved. How did the mediation go? Did they refund the full purchase price? Did have any issues with the Lemon Law?
thanks!

review the lemon law process (alot of info online) and start using key phases with SA... I mentioned directly to dealer that I was considering a buyback/lemon law claim and dealer escalated quickly to regional customer service manager in MB Jacksonville office.

Long story short, they did a "substitution of collateral" on my lease... they just changed the VIN... they allowed me to pick out another vehicle in stock.

It actually went quite well after the 8 or 9 months of constant service issues... that's why I'm still buying MB in spite of some issues... they treated my concerns well and resolved it well

Everything in writing. I did not need a lawyer. The Lemon laws are generally easy to understand and most manufacturers know they have to comply...

Make sure you are working with a decent dealership who is listening to your concerns... that can be a difference in how well and quick the process can be

Good luck.

Make sure you have met the test for your states Lemon Law. They vary but most have a test for days out of Service (30 business days) or the number of trips to the Dealer for the same issue (3)…then one more final attempt to repair. The Service repair orders from the Dealership will detail dates and malfunctions. You can strengthen your position by proving a written request with supporting pics or video for transient/hard to duplicate issues.
The other method to pursue is using the US Lemon Law through an Attorney. This has broader “relief’ including potentially better compensation.

https://www.yourlemonlawrights.com/m...they%20prevail.

The AC issue has been reported on occasion over the years and as I recall it was a sensor located in the upper roof area. Some tapped the area to get a temporary fix.

Why so butthurt while under warranty? I can't wait for problems to arise after more than one year with mine so they can be worked out for free. Grow up.

I agree…it’s not like Mercedes makes very many of the small components and Tech. The supply chain is still a mess. The part (or a very similar one) causing the AC failure, can probably be found in several other brand vehicles. The grass isn’t always greener!

You're so excited to waste time, money, energy and sanity to go and sit at a service center or get a loaner? You win today Sir

While I don't look forward to my car presenting new issues, I do appreciate the fact that it will be looked at and taken care of (under warranty). I typically schedule early Saturday drop offs and it gives me time to socialize with the dealership staff, have coffee there, look at new cars, etc. I can't deny the joy of feeling pampered when I'm there. My SA knows to always put me on another GLE or S-Class for loaners which I also enjoy. Only once, did I have to contend with a GLB EV loaner which I quickly returned the following day because I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT.

When I go for service I bring a trick or treat bag to fill with the complimentary pastries and fill my large thermos with a designer latte from their expensive coffee machine.

That's a good attitude, and one I generally share when issues are correctly diagnosed and repaired (or in some cases even recognized at all). But repeated trips to the service department for ongoing issues only to be told "we could not replicate the problem" or "the vehicle is performing as designed" is absolutely no fun at all -- especially when the loaner is a dirty GLA or low-end Mazda.

Been there done that with the "we could not replicate the problem", "the vehicle is performing as designed". In my case it was an extreme example (continued transmission issues). Quickly dropped that GLE. Been happy ever since.

Good decision. Very typical MB customer non-care and product non-reliability experience.

Been happy ever since with my new GLE. Dealership tried, I gave them the opportunity, they were honest with me. Everyone was happy in the end.

Do you even own a Mercedes now? You might update your profile to include your acquisition of the 2019 Porsche Cayenne. Oh yes…the one with a 6th gear shudder and a lithium battery that will soon fail…costing $2500-$3000. There might not be any vehicle or Dealer that meets your unrealistic expectations…so sad!
You keep making the same comments about Mercedes and their Dealers like you have any expertise on the subject. Owning a 7 year old vehicle hardly qualifies you as an expert on Mercedes or the Dealer network.

it was a coolant sensor, I don’t have the paper work in front of me, but they had the car for about 2 weeks, keeping me informed of the progress every 3 days or so.
