Rear camera pops out at every stop

It's probably not the solution, but it's worth checking.
However in the second link I posted above, I was excited to see post #10 where bkp says he "found a solution if you're willing to pay for it." His solution was to put Siless Max sound deadener all around the rear hatch camera area. The success was confirmed on post #33 by JRD47. That was enough evidence for me to order the Siless Max from Amazon and make plans to install it. I am also calling it a great SUCCESS. Not silent, but probably 95% improved. What a relief! Details below.
Amazon sells the Siless Max either as 6 square feet, or 30 square feet. I got the 30 square foot box, but only used about a third of it. However, not sure 6 square feet would have been enough. Perhaps two of the 6 square feet boxes is the sweet spot.
This is the best how to I could find for removing the rear hatch trim:
Obviously a different model than the v167, but (other than two handles vs one) it is very similar to my 450e. Be sure to note the metal clips inside the handle grip that he shows at around 45 seconds in the video. It is essential that these clips be removed, and it's probably the hardest part of getting the trim off. One would think that all you need to do is squeeze them and they should slide right out, but there is secondary ridge of metal behind the outer edge of the clip - and both sides of this ridge need to be pressed in at the same time before the clip comes out. I ended using a combination of a very thin small screwdriver and a pick. Frustrating, but keep at it and you'll get it. You'll also want a nice pick tool to undo the electrical connections as seen in the video. Also, I wouldn't use the handle as the method for initially separating the trim from the plastic clips like he does in the video - when I did that the handle separated from the trim piece. It clipped back in just fine, but a little unnerving when it happened. My advice is to work the edge of the trim piece with a plastic pry tool until a plastic clip loosens.
For the other plastic clips I recommend having an extra long clip removal tool (such as ) .
I was very careful and all my plastic clips came out without losing or breaking any, but you might want to have some spare ones hand in case any break during removal. Part # 001-991-32-98.
After removing the trim, this is what the back of the hatch looks like. Two layers of sheet metal seemingly designed to echo the clicking noise of the camera opening and closing.
I particularly focused on attaching the Siless around the area under the rear wiper where the camera is located. I really went to town on it and put lots of small pieces everywhere I could think of - basically filled that area up. The Siless cuts easily with a large pair of bandage shears. As can be seen, there are two pieces of sheet metal that form the rear hatch. Attempting to dampen any reverberation that may be occurring between those two areas I put several sheets of Siless on both sides of the internal cavity. Then I also covered all the openings. Of course, note where the clips fasten to the hatch and leave those areas uncovered. This is how it looked when I was done:
As an aside, even though I mentioned the sound blocking parts that Mercedes offers, I did not use them since so many people have said they are only minimally effective.
Quite a shame that I had to pay for the solution myself, as well as spend about an hour cutting and sticking on the Siless, but I am very, very pleased with the outcome.
Hope that helps.

I have the same issue with my C200 Estate with NTG7_E329.501_22411AC3. I am gonna visit the dealer in two weeks and will update the MBUX. I unfortunately got the static noise issue once, too. I hope the update could solve both. I will file a claim to MB HQ since I do believe that it is a very stupid thing we are having. Before this car I had an E Class W213 with 360 degree camera and I didn’t have this issue at all. Why I am having this I really don’t want to understand, but it annoys me a lot.

I was behind a GLE320 and 450 yesterday stopped at the traffic light. The rear camera of the 320 (probably '24) didnt pop out but the 450 (exactly the same as my '25) poping out when it slows down.

Anyway, I am going to bring it to the dealer to check a couple of things. Mostly annoying bad design and cauing distraction while driving, which i consider safety issues using Mercedes high standard. If it is a Hyundai, I would say you get what you paid for.

Thank you very much for your post! I bought Siless Max from Amazon and installed it this afternoon. I am back from my first drive after installation and the Siless Max made a huge difference. I also purchased some batting at a fabric store and stuffed it into all cavities in the tailgate during the process. I have struggled with the camera since we have owned the car and have been extremely disappointed in the way MB has ignored this issue. The treatment they have given their customers has been atrocious. I have been a loyal MB customer for over 40 years, but I will be looking elsewhere the next time I am in the market.
Bottom line, with the radio on, I cannot hear the camera.
All, if you have struggled with this issues, here is your fix. I am extremely happy with results.
Again, stevieg58, much appreciated.

I'm very sensitive to noise and rattles - I can hear my wheel locks rattle in their plastic box in the spare tire well. The box is stuffed with cotton gloves to de-rattle.
You should see what I did to my old Land Cruiser FJ-45 for noise reduction!
Then I had a A Class loaner whose camera popped out every time I slowed. It didn't bother me one bit.

After over 220 Posts to this Topic in here One might think MB is taking Notice, but this is a dark corner of the Internet.
I bet you, if a Youtuber with a big audience in the US or Europe would post this, it might get an over the air update quite quickly. I can see this happening here in the US with the Out of Spec Channels from Kyle Conner and his Team or others in Germany like the Carmaniac Channel. It seams they even work with the Software developers from manufacturers to kind of field testing the Cars for free for them.
Someone should point them to these Forums here or elsewhere to find Topics to create Content for their Channels and find Problems Consumers have with their Cars.
