Hello
I was waiting on a 2024 AMG GLE 53 and was just advised that order banks are closing 3/19 for 2024 models so I should be getting 2025 model. I actually prefer to get the 2025 just not sure when they will be built. Was given ETA of June 2024 for 2024 model a few months ago. The 2025 order guides aren’t out yet for the GLE but BMW X5 has their 2025 guide out.

Dealers have a lot of inventory of the 2024 GLE as well as AMG 53 GLE none have my desired options and if your going to spend that much I’m a strong proponent to get exactly what you want. When they expected June delivery for 2024 I was fine with it but when that got pushed back to maybe August I think 2025 more desirable. Having said all that I still want to see pricing and options packages on the 2025 which they expect in 2 weeks. When all those facts are presented it still is an option to elect to buy an in stock 2024 Ofcourse if pricing is very good. Trade off would be not exactly all the options I’d want but much better pricing and there is a chance a few more desirable 2024 optioned vehicles get delivered.

My SA informed me that 2024 GLE models including 450 order window close on 3/19 and going forward will be 2025 models if you order with approximately July delivery which worked better for me than getting 2024 in June. However, now we are dealing with unknown issues. What options, packages, colors will change chances not a lot cause they just refreshed model in 2024. Still have to wait for dealer order guide which should be out in a few weeks. You can try to call a dealership maybe they got some 2024 450s in inventory or some due to arrive you’ll get better deal on a 2024 vs 2025 especially if it is in inventory. Maybe your dealership can change an existing 2024 450 order to accommodate your needs too it’s worth an inquiry.

If your dealership put your order in on 3/12 you should be getting your 2024 by June. 2025 I was told will be same maybe just a few option changes. I think any current order after 3/19 will probably be 2025 again I’m just guessing. Best bet for you is to follow up with your dealership.

Nothing confirmed but my dealership thinks after July. Again you’ll get better deal on the 2024 and I don’t think any changes in the model years but it’s a matter of personal preference. I think soon the order guide for the 2025s will be out then we can see exactly what options changed or stayed same. The BMW X5 has the 2025 order guide available online don’t see why Mercedes wouldn’t do same.

Ok - thanks. I will be April soon, so you are probably right. Do you know if Mercedes is phasing out the exterior color Selenite Gray for their new color, Alpine Gray? I have not seen many Selenite Gray GLEs on the road.

Both nice colors and yes you’re probably right the Alpine Gray seems to be the hot color now. BMW also makes a similar color I just don’t believe they charge as much for it.

Seems Mercedes delivery times are much larger than BMW and yes 6 months is a more realistic time frame. Don’t understand why BMW can manage to deliver an X5 in two months and Mercedes sometimes takes 6 months. I places order for 2024 AMG 53 GLE at end of January and was told to expect June delivery then they put out a note that Pinnacle Package wasn’t available until August . At that point I decided to wait for a 2025 so 5 month delivery turned into who knows how long. In the end if I get really annoyed I may get the X5 as the pricing is definitely better and so is the included maintenance program.
