Noise issue
Hello,
I have a 2021 GLE 450.
I noticed that when the car is cruising between 42-49mph, there is a whine type noise coming from under the care somewhere. The noise is noticeable, but not loud. It doesn't seem to matter if I let up on the accelerator or press it.
Thoughts?

High pitched or low pitched? Does it change with speed? Are the tires wearing normally? Manually change gears when you hear the noise. Does it continue?

Is anything caught under the car?

I will try to change gears manually to see if that changes the noise.
Definitely not the mirrors--had that fixed. It is coming from underneath the car.
I would describe it as more of a dull medium pitched noise. It does not appear to change with speed, but stops right at 50mph and begins at about 43mph

Update:
They believe it is the rear differential. They changed the fluid and said it should go away in a 100 miles or so. Sounds persisted, and they are replacing the rear differential.

Doesn't quite sound like the symptoms you experienced. Different car though.
Do hope that the replacement fixes your issue though.
