Extended warranty 2022 GLE350
Just purchased from MB dealer 2022 GLE350 with 35k miles. They have proposed Triton Coverage for extended warranties -even a tire and wheel from
Triton. Question; why would they not offer an extended warranty through MB? Is the Triton coverage a good one? I have been told that purchasing Extended warranties through insurance companies, ie Triton, are painful to deal with and often avoided or discouraged by repair facilities?

I'll also throw out that the dealer is making more profit on the Triton warranty. A couple of examples: Son bought a new Subaru from a Hendrick dealer a few years ago and the finance guy who also worked at their adjacent Honda dealer said they are not allowed to sell the manufacturers' extended warranties. When I recently bought a CPO Honda Ridgeline truck, the finance guy offered a non-Honda extended warranty for $3,100. Out of curiosity I asked about the cost of a comparable HondaCare warranty, and it was $1,750.
I'll also put in a plug for Fidelity. I have a Platinum warranty on my 15 S550 and have had one claim which was processed by the dealer.

I’m a detailed financial guy so I thought there is a remote possibility my analysis/opinion of the options Highland posted above might be of some benefit. To me the obvious choice is the 72/72 $250 deductible. This plan is only $1,063 more for twice the time/mileage coverage of the 36/36 $250 plan. Re the $250 vs $100 deductible, you would have to file several claims paying the $150 additional deductible to make up the difference in the initial pricing. In the case of the 72/72 plan, it would take five claims to offset the initial cost savings.
You say you are not going to keep the vehicle that long. But if you sell to a private party, the warranty is transferrable which will help sell the car. If the vehicle gets totaled or you trade to a dealer, you get a prorated refund based on the lesser of the time/mileage remaining.
To the question about calling Fidelity, you can buy Fidelity products at any dealer that sells them. A good friend of mine with an Audi, got a good deal on a Fidelity Platinum warranty from an Acura dealer when his son was buying an RDX.
