Anyone have updated pricing on PPM for a 2024 GLE 350? Are dealers strict about 10k/1year time frame?

 

I was recently quoted for the gle450:
2 services $1560
3 services $2140
4 services $2950

Also note that pricing for prepaid maintenance plans, as well as extended warranties, is negotiable. Although there's probably more room for dealing with extended warranties than with prepaid maintenance.

 

I purchased the PPM for my 2024 GLE 350 from Jeff Jackson at MB Louisville a couple of weeks ago. I got the 4 year/40,000 mile and it cost $2950 total. I had asked Jeff if he could do any better on the price and he said he could not. They for sure have more wiggle room on the warranties vs the PPM.

For the extended warranty, I went with Fidelity Platinum.

You can use promo code loyalty or benzworld to get a discount. Benzworld gives you $200 off. I'm not sure how much loyalty gets you off.

Isnt the $2950 a bit high for the PPM? For 4 years it includes 2 service A and 2 service B right? Im in NY and one of the dealers told me Service A is $300 and a service B can range from $500-700. Im also interested in the extended warranty, how much was it with Fidelity Platinum and for how long? The dealershio offered it to me at time of purchase for something like $5500, but told me Icould wait til before the 4 year warranty is up.

 

Depending on how long you wait, the 5500 number will most likely go up. The same for the ppm. These numbers are not fixed.

 

Do you have any past experiences with Fidelity Extended Warranty, like did any dealers give a hard time when it came to warranty repairs? Also which term did you go with? This is my first time looking into extended warranties. Thanks.

 

I thought it was high as well, but when I spoke to my SA at my local dealership, he said the PPM doesn't just cover A/B service but also things they recommend to be serviced like spark plugs etc (although, I'm pretty sure they want you to change plugs at 50k miles, I wonder if they will do it at the 40k mile service). It does seem to be the norm price for PPM though.

I do not have past experience with it and have not had to use it yet (I have a 2024 GLE 350 with about 3590 miles). I had got a quote for the MB extended warranty from Jeff Jackson but it was a lot higher. I think they wanted around $5k for 7 year/100k miles (so only an extra 3 years/50k miles over factory warranty).

I went with Fidelity after researching it a lot(at first I was skeptical about using a 3rd party extended warranty). I read a lot on forums (not just MB forums, but other high-end car forums) and a lot of people swore by it. Some even saying it paid for itself after one high cost repair. I even read a number of posts from Service Advisers who recommended it. When I purchased the PPM from Jeff, I had told him I went with Fidelity for the warranty and he said Fidelity was a "great choice". Some MB dealerships even sell Fidelity and even Jeff had said he used to sell Fidelity Warranties in the past(I actually found a few MB dealership websites that advertised Fidelity warranties on their websites when I was doing research). I got the Platinum 8 year/120k mile warranty, so basically 4 years/70k miles over the factory warranty. The warranty was originally $3,242 but I had a promo code for $200 that took it down to $3,042, then since I paid it on a new Credit Card that had an introductory offer of $200 cash back for the first $1000 you spend, and also got cash back of $45 on the actual transaction (plus 12 months no interest) so it brought the cost down to about $2,796.

I read a number of positive things there as well when I was researching.

 

Have had one claim on Fidelity Platinum warranty on my S550. Pneumatic pump for seat bolsters/massage seats was replaced and touchpad software reinstalled. I paid the deductible and the dealer filed the claim with Fidelity for the balance.
