GLE350 4matic 2022 instrument display go black

I have had my instrument display go black on two occasions since owning this vehicle only 5 months. Both occurred at start up. In each case, I shut the vehicle off wait for 10 to 15 minutes and restarted it. Everything worked fine at that point. Brought it back to dealership twice with their response " no trouble found ".
Has anyone had issues with their instrument display

going black?

Welcome! Sorry to hear about the display. It's relatively common, have a read through the V167 forum.

This place is a joke.
Common problem with the one-sixty-lemon (167) chassis. Your dealership should have done some software updates to fix it.

They did " software updated" first time when i brought it to them. But it happened again after 2 months.

That must be frustrating. MB doesn’t seem to know how to fix it. That comes up often on the 167 platform and also with the 48V system.

It’s not a common problem. If it was there would be a TSB for the Dealers and no need for the Dealer to validate the issue. If there have been more than one or two reported you can find more info by doing a search on the V167 Forum. I do recall reading something similar but it hasn’t been recent.
For best results, start a video the next time it happens, adding your commentary. Keep it running through the restart. That should get you through the “problem not found” at the Dealer.

Same thing just happened

The same thing just happened to mine tonight. Also noticed the lights on the auto switch flickering as well as on my mouse pad. Calling the dealer in the morning but was this ever resolved?

No, it's not common at all.

Gle 300d MY 2024

I’ve had a similar problem with my 5 day old Gle 300d model year 2024. After I restarted the engine it’s again back to normal. I informed my dealership and will do thorough checks…
