2024 GLE 580
2024 GLE580 1700 miles Check Engine Light
Check engine light came on today not a happy camper that I'm off to the dealer to deal with an issue 1700 miles in. Hope this isn't a bad omen.

could be something minor like a sensor issue.

Even a gas tank cap that is not properly secured can trigger a CEL.

It is now off...will see if it happens again. I checked the gas cap...Dealer appt later this week.

I wouldn't be concerned, every once in a blue moon i'll start up and i'll get a CEL or temporarily run rough on both MBs.

See if you can get the error code from the OBD port. If you don't have a reader/scanner, many local shops, including tire shops will do if for free.

Correct that should have been done the next available moment that the CEL came on. That way we can have an intelligent conversation on what the issue is/was.

BlueDriver is a very handy OBD port code reader/clearer. You can find it on amazon. Knowledge is power.
