Update MBUX 2.6.1
Updated 2024 GLE450e to MBUX 2.6.1 and since I have been losing settings, favorites and messages. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your reply. I do believe it is the latest. Right now I am just updating all my settings but is a bit tedious. Good thing I know what to do. Let's hope they stay.

Is there a backup settings option? If you can backup the settings, perhaps can then restore it when it resets. The older COMAND system lets you backup to a usb I am not sure if that is still true in MBUX.

How are you getting these updates? I don't think my GLE450 has had a software update (other than map data) since new. Maybe that's a good thing.

Not sure about a back up process, will have to do some research.

Update first seen in the mercedes me app. When I started car the update process initiated. Took a couple of hours.

They might have got rid of the backup option, I don't see it either oh well there goes that. As for how long it takes depends on the internet connection and reception.

2021 GLE 350 2024 GLE 450
Too bad our gasoline 450 never got any update, still on E404 from the factory which I believe it's MBUX 2.5

Certain updates needs to be performed through XENTRY or at a dealership, not everything is going to come through OTA, in case some updates affect sensitive safety systems.

I found my update history in the iPhone app. My 2024 GLE450 updated to MBUX 2.4 a year ago. Nothing since. I cant complain as everything appears to work properly.

2024 GLC300
I installed update to my 2024 GLC300 yesterday and noticed that when apple carplay navigation app (tried both google map and apple map) announces navigation instructions ( e.g. make a right turn in 500 feet), it no longer mute or lower the volume of radio played by MBUX. Basically two outputs (navigation and radio) play at equal volume at the same time, which makes it hard to hear navigation instructions clearly.

Has anyone experienced the same thing?

All reside in Ontario? In another thread, we were trying to figure out which state in the usa got the update. Back in Canada, only Ontario got it?

Yes Ontario for me. Doubt it would be regional. Check you phone MB app in the services section. That is where the update is initiated.

In the USA, it seems like it is regional/staged roll-out, so fair to say you get it all at the same time in Canada?

Unless you really truly need the 2.6.1 update and its features, it may not be a big deal I think?
