Windshield washer fluid pump?

My 6 month old GLE450 got its first issue. No windshield washer fluid coming for front and back windshield. Check reservoir and toppped off still nothing. I’m assuming pump die? Is it one pump for both front and back?

Two questions. Do you hear the pump when trying to spray and what type of fluid has been used? (fancy rain ex, cheap blue?)

I use rainex all season fluid (orange) I just try again and I think I hear the pump. So a clog somewhere? Just nothing is coming out.

Have you tried holding down the rear button and pressing hard? The front doesn't need to be held down but the rear does. If it still doesn't work then it's probably your pump. I would personally pump out your orange stuff and fill it with approved MB fluid as they could deny warranty because rainx isn't approved. Manual states to only use MB summer and winter and to not mix it with anything else or else it might clog the sprayers. I think past threads have mentioned sticking with either MB Summerfit / Winterfit, blue stuff, or Nextzett fluid. I use Nextzett.

Glitch in the matrix. Just let your service advisor know on your next visit so they can notate it should it occur again.

@markaj1

Get rid of the fancy fluid / rain-x, the silicone additive builds up in the lines, pumps, nozzles and coats the level sensors over time like cholesterol in arteries. It might be working now but over time you'll have a full clog and always at the worst times.

To clear the system, empty out the fancy washer fluid, fill windshield fluid tank with 1 part distilled vinegar to 3 parts water, press the pump to give it a good flush, let the vinegar mixture sit in the lines for a few hours or overnight, flush the system out via windshield spray pump with clean water. Rinse off the car from all of the flushed fluids. Fill and only use OEM concentrate mix or the standard blue moving forward.
