I have a 2024 GLE 350. A warning suddenly appeared: "Engine oil level stop, switch off vehicle." I checked and it seemed that the engine oil level was very low. It asked to add 1 quart of oil. Open the workshop menu and see what it reports the oil level as. Unlike the normal gauge it will show the level in real time. Add oil to get it back where it should be. The paper or digital manual will tell you what type of oil.

Yes, this is the correct way to do it as the oil level gauge available outside of that menu is not precise amounts and rather doctored.
