No more user profile sync option in MBUX

Support informed me today that MBUX team removed the option to Synchronize vehicle user profile with your app user profile. The removed this in 2025 end. Without this you can't change vehicle and light settings in the app and sync with your user profile inc car. You can't add your picture to the profile in app and sync it to the car.

Do you see the Synchronize profiles automatically in the car MBUX menu? MB states that they removed this.

Profile --> General Settings --> Synchronize profiles automatically

Well it was there last week... Did an update and it's now gone. Another example of MB taking away reasons to own this car.

I just got the response from MB support. they removed personalization in all MB cars. Hope they will leave at least Navigation feature in the car in future (:-(

Honestly Kia and Hundai do a great job with these new features and advanced software in the car. MB is the worst!

I've said it a hundred times on this forum... Mercedes builds a good car but I really wish they'd farm out their software to someone who knows what they're doing.
I can't find a single disappointment with this car that's not software related.

That's pretty much the case with all cars these days.
The biggest disappointment according to CR and JD Power is infotainment. The oldest technology has the fewest complaints.

BMW just went from ancient tech to new tech, and I wouldn't be surprised if they fall from "highly rated" to "horrible." Just like Audi in 22 or 23.

Or… just forget the ‘infotainment’ and just drive the car. This if people still know how to drive. No wonder the streets are full of infotainment caused ‘accidents’. In quotes because no accidents, but driver negligence.

or Mercedes hire from Kia and Hyundai!

Just because Mercedes Germany team is very weak in developing good infotainment platform doesn't mean that we should not use that in cars! Infotainment systems are to avoid crash and aid in safe driving.

What MBUX version removed the profile options? My 2024 GLE 450 still has the profile options. Last update was June 2025 (MBUX 2.6.1). Also did the Communication Module update a week ago.

Now that's a counter-argument!
Infotainment systems are unsafe unless you pull over to operate them. AKA Distracted Driving, the newest danger on the road.

The point being that you have to take your eyes off the road to operate a touch screen. Intense concentration if you need to do more. Even accepting a NAV Reroute takes too long.

Spouse and coffee only take a glance, if that.
