Thinking of getting a GLE580
I am in the tail end of getting my S580 bought back. Thinking of switching to the GLE 580 any must have options

Soft close (I didn't get it and having a S with it notice it missing).
Acoustic comfort
Pano roof
Magic vision wipers
Drivers assistance pkg
Pinnacle trim
Winter related packages and options depending on location
Third row, depending if needed but its really just good for kids or short trips with adults.
Trailer hitch, even if not used regularly, the option of expanding storage with a rack comes in handy.

2024 S580
Have you driven a GLS? I would personally go GLS because it feels bigger and grander. There are also killer lease deals on GLS580s right now. Specifically the 580 for some reason.

yes I drove the GLS and day to day is to big. but would be usefully a few times a year. I am leaning towards the GLE580 as it is a wolf in sheeps clothes. nost people will think its a GLE450 but then it is a rocket ship. As I would de badge it

2025 GLE450
2025 GLE450 here. I only got the matte wood trim, leather, acoustic package, and illuminated grill emblem. I prefer the standard sunroof -- I've had the pano roof and there's no way to close it off, so at times the glare is really bad and it heats up in the summer.

Thats a good point. In the S Class the panoramic roof has a fully solid and opaque sunblind...why does MB use that sheer thin sunblind in everything else?!

I’m sure it’s all about saving a few bucks. This is the most expensive car I’ve owned. I was shocked that there no rear window shades. I mean how much would have manual shades cost? Instead a power option with a complicated switch.

We have a 2024 GLE-580, it's the wife's DD, and she loves it! The ONLY downside is the MPG. It's deceivingly fast, she got a speeding warning the other day, other than that, it's been fantastic. Now if I could just get her stop curbing her front rims/tires.....
