Built-in dashca issue
Hello, Dashcam in my 2024 GLE350 SUV creates non-readable mp4 files after creation of few good files. I formatted the USB drive in exFAT several times and chkdsk didn't find any hardware issues. Does anybody experienced this issue? Any solution/suggestions? Thanks

Had similar issue. Fixed by formatting the usb drive to FAT32.

I would not use a microSD and a USB adapter. Seems like an inferior solution to a good USB 3.1 drive. I use a Samsung USB flash drive in 512GB for video and the 256GB for music. No issues with the dashcam. I initially had an issue (more an annoyance) where when the drive reached max capacity the car would give me a notice it was going to overwrite files that I had to acknowledge. I formatted the drive and the next time it filled up I didn't get the notice, but it started doing it again later on. Formatted again and before it filled I got the MBUX333 update and it's never happened again. I think it was a bug but it's not doing it any longer for me. My USB drive setup is documented here. They are quality drives but due to the current memory chip market, they are way up in price. I paid $27 for the 256GB and $70 for the 512GB back in August 2024. They are now $52 and $105 respectively.

Just had a similar issue with my 2022 S class MBUX system freezing up randomly, turns out it was a software update issue I got it fixed with a visit to the dealer and they updated the software, now it runs smooth as silk.
