I've seen some online articles and the press release in the past two months regarding the new GLE 450 AMG SUV. I was about to pull the trigger on a GLE400 when I found this car. Does anyone know it is coming to the US?

Based on the NetStar configuration tool - the GLE450_Coupe is the only AMG Sport 450 model for this year - not the full GLE.

If you have a chance to drive one - the GLE450 Coupe is frankly a whole bunch of fun - I LOVE it a lot, and I mean a LOT.

Umm he's talking about the non coupe GLE. We know the coupe is already produced

Very good question. I don't think it is, but we should know for sure at the Detroit show. They may quietly slip it onto the show floor or in the press conference. All GLEs should be 450s anyway, not the tame 400 model. The regular GLE450 is a no brainer IMO. GLE400 is just weak and in no way a replacement for the ML550.

Well they are release a 550 variant with a hybrid engine that will beat the old 550 I just came out of in a lease.

The GLE550e is a band aid vehicle at best. Nothing with a V6 is going to replace the refinement and smoothness of the previous V8.

I had the ml550 and have seen the specs and many videos of the GLE 550e online. It sure looks like it beats it. You know the Porsche 918 is the same type of configuration As this hybrid. Progress my friend it happens.
