Just got this message today and am going into the dealership to have it looked at. Very surprised and hope this computer problem is something simple. Don't want an electronic issues to arise.
The message appeared in the middle cluster
Collision Prevention Assist Plus Inoperative and going through the rest of the options I found out this also
Blind Spot Assist Inoperative.
Not sure what's going on but it said to consult the manual and it says to see a service specialist.
Anyone had any of those massages ?

Did your service at Mercedes cost you anything?

No. It was free. It's under warranty anyway.

So you are aware - yes -m the software update or reset does take 2 1/2 connection time to complete. So that you know your dealer did hop on it quickly - the update/reset process on the equipment is time intensive

I got that message too along with error messages from just about every system...transmission, distronic, blind spot and on and on. The vehicle wouldn't start. Sent it to the dealer on a flatbed truck. Dealer said there was too much grease in the wiring harnesses connections.
Now if I could only get them to admit that the vehicle hesitates at the most inopertune times. However there seems to bo no fix for this problem.

Sorry to hear that. It sounds more like an excuse than a problem. You should ask them for a new replacement.

Six weeks into ownership, and I have the Collision Prevention Assist Plus Inoperative warning as well.
Not impressed.

Do I really have to waste my time with the dealer to have them fix it or is there something I can do? (unplug battery, reset modules, etc.)

My GLE63s coupe also has a software problem, one day i was going around 60-70km/h driving over a railway track which is kinda bumpy while i was going thur the track my car was kinda lifted up abit on the crossway at around 65km/h, at the same time the car went into limp mode, going only 20km/h and it only changes to 2nd gear. I was assuming the air suspension sensor was too sensitive and thought that my car was going to roll over so it went into limp mode, my dearer told me there will be software update in a month to solve all these electronics problems....

Did you try maybe spraying some window cleaner on the front glass part of the radar dish (where the Silver Arrow emblem is on the grill) and cleaning off any dirt/grime/bugs that may have built up there? Maybe even gently wipe all the parking sensors with a damp cloth? Just a simple try just in case it might solve the issue? My two cents.

I don't have the radar dish, so no smooth star emblem on the grille.
I did wash the sensors, front, sides, and back, but no improvement.

Hi everyone.
2016 MB GLE350 I bought CPO back in June 2020.
I am getting the error "Collision Prevention Assist Plus Inoperative".
Car works just fine but every startup this message shows up.
I remember few weeks ago car had to break to prevent collision.

Thanks
Robert
PS: I am not sure when CPO warrantee expires (need to check on that).

Quick update: Visit to the dealer and $199 later warning is reset.
They charge $199 for diagnostics which I had to pay. They did not charge me for reset procedure
(maybe they felt bad that I could not use the $150 off coupon which needs $299 minimum service work)
