GLE 450 AMG Coupe Harmon Karon Logic 7
Hi all. This is my first post in this forum as a new member.
I've had this beast for about 6 weeks (love it) and I've come to the conclusion that the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 radio is a real let down. Unless you blast it, it simply has no bottom end at lower volumes; even with the midrange and bass boosted all the way up. It lacks a "loudness" button or some kind of adjustment to give it some presence when the volume is down low. Its supposed to have 2 subs, but I'm not even sure if they are connected. Going to have my dealer check it out. With the Logic 7 circuit turned off, there is some improvement in low frequenceies but then the surround experience is lost.
Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions...maybe I should have spring for the B&O system, but the HK system is supposed to be highly regarded.

I have the same setup. My wife's C has the Burmester and it' blows my HK out of the water. I've found the bass is a hit or miss in my car. Either i have no bass or a lot of bass, nothing in between. I mostly listen to SiriusXM or Amazon Music in my car. Just turn the radio down and listen to the exhaust, that should make you feel better.

Coming from a crappy optional "premium sound" system in the Maserati Ghibli SQ4, I thought the HK is pretty good.

My kids Ford Escape is better at lower volumes than this HK system.👎
As heron 25th suggests, I end up turning down the tunes to blast the exhaust, but that's a whole other issue...

I have the B&O; it has lots of sound all around but in my opinion it is not worth the price.
And agreed with the above, the exhaust is where it's at. SPORT+ and sunroof open

Didnt opt for the B&O because i didnt think it was worth the money. But i did expect the HK to be pretty good. It's definately a let down.
I do love the exhaust, but i'm also dissapointed that you can't open it up unless you are in Sport +. My GLA45 has a button that can open up the exhaust in any mode. Also I'm not that fond that it downshifts into first when in Auto with Sport +. I'ts a bit jerky.

Your experience with the HK system is the same as mine. My wife's C300 has the Burmeister and it's awesome. I'm not complaining as the B&O is $5K which is ridiculous.

I did some testing with some subwoofer test tones on an SDcard. It's definitely not the sound system's capabilities. The subwoofer was kicking it from 20Hz and up. I think it's the source. SiriusXM is probably my problem since that's what I primarily listen to (love the jazz channels).

YES - the fidelity and dynamic range of SIRIUS overall has dropped dramatically as # stations increased - and for whatever reason some Sirius stations are "better" than most of the other channels .. have no idea why the inconsistency between different stations on a ongoing basis versus the majority/other.
