Why did they wait until 2017 to release this?

well, even I want to dump my GLE 450 coupe when GLE 43 Coupe came out. And the only difference is the emblems.

Still waiting to see it. Then I can believe it.
Maybe I'm hoping it does happen, or secretly hoping it doesn't because I'd have to go get one.
Does anyone think this may help the resale value initially on our 400s? [Since mine is better equipped (other than the motor) and cost me less than the MSRP of the 43.]

disappointed to not have AMG on calipers like the C43. Personally I hope those 22's are optional and some 20 and 21" options available.

Go read the specs and it's more than just an emblem upgrade on the SUV version between the 400 and 43; engine tune, 9G tranny, bigger wheels, just to name a few.

For the coupe, lucky you as u can just go swap some emblems and call it a day, if you choose to.

My mindset is similar to yours but I am pretty sure it is happening to the US market finally, after a few months if not a year late compared to rest of the world.

As for resale value, you know what they say, the more rare the item, the higher the value. However, only if there's a demand there and quite frankly, I would for sure choose the 43 if I am performance oriented and the 350 if I just wanted a GLE for daily driving. Where does that leave the 400? Not sure..

GLE450 AMG Coupe
For what it's worth, I owned a C400 that was replaced by the C450 AMG Sport after a year. I traded it for a GLE Coupe, but I was told at the time that the C400 lost trade-in value because it was discontinued. I went to another dealer an got a much better trade-in, but the point is that it was considered a large negative for resale.

The irony is that the C450 was also replaced after a year with the C43.

But we can hope!
Although I might have my wife talked into taking the 400 (this was my original plan all along) and I can go back to something a lot faster, a truck again, or cross my fingers and pray for the Mercedes truck!.............
Please Mercedes! Pretty please with sugar and sprinkles on top!!!!!!!!!!!!!
