How to check version of your Navigation? What is the latest? 3 years free updates?

I believe yours is correct. v11 for the GLE can't be out yet. Desal has the GLC300. Mine is 2017/2018 (V8.0) N. AMERICA. So I would assume yours says 2018/2019 (V9.0) N. AMERICA. Is that correct?

GLE 350w
Just got back from the dealer with my 2016 GLE 350 for some general service and they updated the nav to 2018 (v9.0).
They also updated the ECU, which I didn't even know needed updating. Anyone know what the update does?

The 2019 v12.0 is now out. If you're approaching the 3-year mark, better get it done now while it's still free.
I don't even use COMAND navigation anymore. I exclusively use WAZE, but I still get the updates done. It's always good to have multiple choices when it comes to navigation. Besides, I want to keep the map database as current as possible for whenever I sell the vehicle.

I believe it's around $250. I would never pay for this. Somewhere in the country they're building new roads every single day. These updates are outdated as soon as you get them. The newer map versions are just "less" outdated than the previous ones. Use Google Maps or WAZE via Android Auto or Apple Car Play. You get to use your car's display and the maps are continuously updated for "free".

Wow, in 3 weeks a newer version released.
Just completed an A Service and Nav upgrade.
I picked up my GLE Coupe 1 hour ago and this is the newest version.

I agree.
I previously requested that if they could not get me your version (I assumed yours was the latest) not to bother.
Yesterday afternoon they requested to have the car longer because there was a newer version released.
I was torn between getting the update and being able to activate the Android/Apple (with the module) feature.
At the end I preferred to have my maps current.
Good luck!

I have the 2015/2016 version. I finally got thru with MB (been fighting since October of 2019). There going to upgrade it on May 8 (They got me schedule). I'm paying the full price. At this point I don't care anymore.

Something to check if your local dealership have a discount coupon on there website. I just found a coupon for First Responders, Healthcare Worker & Essential Employees for 20%off (any service) at my local MB dealership. I'm going to try and use it this Friday since I work in a Federal Gov Hospital and I'm Essential (I have approved documents). They never told me anything about this over the phone. Lucky I found it on there website.

I went from 2015/2016 V4 to 2020/2021 V14.0
$345.59 (Activation Code (part number 216-002-41-99) $265.75 and the rest for labor). 20% coupon applied. I paid with tax and everything $313.05.
Also There was a recall that I never knew about it.
Rs Steering Gear part number 166-460-18-01
Preservative wax part number 000-986-72-70-10
Wheel alignment and Tire depth inspection was also done.
