the problem, i think is with the self-centering stalk. Slick, but not wholly needed imho. a static 4 position stalk would avoid the owner's manual warning, and this thread. but then again it would block some of the cluster, etc. that said, has anyone driven a new MDX. NFW!

On European GLE-s according to user's manual car goes to Park when ignition switched off if there is no start button but key needed to go. In cars with start button like mine car goes to N when switched off and to P when you open the door, rolling possible. In my car P engages the parking break as well unlike bmw-s which do not.
