Roof rack for W166 GLE
I'm looking for a roof rack for my GLE. The OEM one looks like staying a bit higher over the roof of the vehicle than most others and I don't like this, the problem is Thule does offer roof rack for GLE only from the type with the bars poking aside but not like the original one with bars curved in the end. Will this rack be noisier like I was told or not. Please post pics of yours if you have such.
Another thing is that Thule claims that MB uses their bars only with the MB logo on them. In Mercedes they claim this is not true. The question is will thhule bycicle rack be compatible with the MB cross bars or not, how do you think?

I use the old style Thule bars. They are not noisy at all, once you add the bike rails or a ski box....watch out the noise level goes right through the roof

For those who are interested, these are the low profile Whispbars. Cannot compare with OEM the noise, but definitely there is some noise over 80 km/h. For sure looks much better and are compatible with Thule accessories.
